I dont think its stupid but I would rather have the goggles also. They are just saving those for the people who buy the standard edition to catch up to those who bought the Collector's. Not much we can do about that. I reserved the CE.

I reserved both.. I'm selling my extra standard edition copy to a friend, at a discounted price, who wants to play but doesn't care about the goggles

I am still torn about which edition I should buy. I will be away for the next 6 months so won't be playing the game until February. Early access makes no difference to me as I won't be able to enjoy it. The Onion helm looks like it might be a decent item when you start to get to higher levels assuming there are things like Dynamis and HNM's. The Garlond Goggles look better at the beginning though. Also on Amazon there seems to be a $10 credit towards a future video game purchase that the collector's edition does not have so the price of the regular edition is basically $35 less (plus tax) with that difference.

The codes only work when you first make your characters can't use the codes after that. You guys have to remember they are only giving the goggles to Standard Edition because Collector's Edition people start 8 days earlier. So the goggles are a way for them to catch up with us.

Hmm a little odd. They didnt mention anything about the Buddy pass but went into detail about the game cover and manual.

Im mainly getting the CE for the security token, the journal because of the artwork thats said to be in it, and the onion helm for looks. While the goggle skill up thing is probably nice, i cant imagine that its going to be gamebreakingly helpful, so id rather run around in my awesome helm :P

Also im just a sucker for collector editions.
