I can check into it for you. Just PM me your user name and password and I'll see if I can't unlock it from the inside.

(but don't really)

All I need is your credit card number, social security number, date of birth and your mother's maiden name and I can definitely get this problem fixed.

Seriously, though, I don't know if anyone can help you without being right next to you while you try to log in or if you give them the required information needed to login themselves and I would advise against that.

I'm not in beta so I can't saying about the site. That said did you try using a different browser or at least clear the cache? I remember a reading somewhere once or twice people having trouble with the site and having to jump back and forth between browsers. That's about all the advice I can offer without having the problem myself.

I was actually hoping someone could put me in touch with a beta admin somehow, or give an explanation as why this is happening on my new pc. Come on, besides cracking jokes, try to put yourself in my shoes for once, I spent a **** of a lot on this and its extremely upsetting to me.

There's nothing that anyone here can do. You're going to have to work through SE for a solution, instead of violating the NDA by talking here about the fact that you applied to the beta and got accepted when you can't even play it on your system.

Contact SE.

Even testers don't have any direct contact with SE. ****, there isn't even any real forum mod for the beta site.

What you need to do is contact SE. Their call center is still open today.

When peopel started applying for the beta the system requirements wernt known as of yet. NDA didnt really let us know until recently what it would take.

Yeah, but it seems kind of strange that SE would have accepted someone who listed computer specs that wouldn't be close to even handling the Beta. It sounds like the OP lied about his specs, got accepted, then had to save up and spend a lot of a money to buy a computer that does have good enough specs, and now is ******** that he can't get it to run.

I could be wrong about all this, but this is the impression I got, so I can understand why people are unwilling to help.

It might even be possible that since he was accepted way back in July, and didn't log in for a few weeks, that SE decided to revoke his Beta account.

The first time I applied for the beta, they scanned my computer to get all the specs, which produced a report that they then received, detailing everything about my hardware and such.

I have since then gone to apply again (I heavily upgraded my system), but the scanning part is no longer there, and they just ask you a couple of questions. I have no idea when they changed this, but if it was after the time when he submitted his application, then he couldn't have lied about his specs.

I'd lay my odds that this is the case. I know in other Betas, they keep track of how often you log in. Since Beta is limited on how long it runs, it's important to them that players log regularly to provide constant feedback.

Actually, I would expect them to pick some low-end computers, or machines with specific hardware they are looking for, to make sure the game works with it, or to see how well it works with it.

We all know a 980x OC'd with 3 GTX 480's will run the game just fine, it's the lower end machines they are worried about (imo). Now that they have that sorted, we can hope to see more beta invites to stress test servers, load balancing, etc.

#16HIGHTONE, Posted: Aug 03 2010 at 8:08 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Just forgot this post people, U guys got some serious issues being upset over nothing, but to clarify to put your minds at ease, I didnt lie about my specs, I had planned to upgrade memory and vid card, and listed what I planned to buy, every other spec same as old pc. After seeing benchmark, i decided to build a pc from scratch. I sure didnt think id get accepted anyway, but once I did, I TRIED to run on my old pc, but my vid card just couldnt handle it, and once I had decided to build entire new pc, I wanted to wait til near release to do so. SO I got a brand new pc for this thing cause of such high demands and now its biting me in *** and every other reply on here is someone with a negative comment for little reason. Just let it go, ill figure it out myself, thanks to the few who tried to help.

Same here. While filling it out I thought, "What's the best hardware combination I could put to be accepted?" I told the truth, and I'm still waiting for my invite... :(

When I applied, I put the specs of my system at the time. It wouldn't run the benchmark but I was honest on the application. My new system has no problems with the benchmark.
