Lalafell Conjurer in Ul'dah

Because I love to play casters, and I miss my Tarutaru from FFXI. Ul'dah, because from th descriptions it seems like it will be more organized and easier to get around in. Though I still might choose Gridania for the character back story.

A Hyur Carpenter starting in Gridania. Ive played as a Taru before and I always chuckled when I saw someone from a different race join Windurst. This time around though, I plan on playing a Taru reincarnated as a Hyur with my trusted hand saw at my side.

My first character in Eorzea will be a Lalafell male lancer, and I will start in Limsa Lominsa. I'm playing Lalafell because I'm looking for a change of pace race-wise after playing Elvaan in FFXI, and lancer because it seems like a good party job, and I'm starting in Limsa Lominsa because I've always loved the sea.

Torn between Pugalist and Gladiator right now but will probably go Gladiator. Ul'Dah as it is the one most appealing to me currently and also to be close to the arena.

1. I am going to create a Duskwight Elezen, and start gladiator, than work lancer because it somewhat reminds of my Elvaan Darknight from 11.

2. I would start in, Limsa Lominisa. It has such beautiful landmarks and I like the fact it is filled wih knights protected it and surrounded by pirates, sounds ike fun.

Hello

My character is going to be Roegdyn belonging to the city state of
Limsa Lominsa That city state feels like Bastok and I have spent years there
in FFXI

I plan on playing as a Roegadyn Lancer in Gridania. The town is definitely the most interesting to me, as the home of the lancers and a lush, forest environment it feels like the perfect place to call home! Sorry about creating a whole new thread...merely clicked the wrong button!

My first character will be Dunesfolk Lalafell, and i will set my allegiance with Gridania.
I choose Dunesfolk Lalafell as my race because for the simple fact they are small and pack a punch. I will ally with Gridania because of its nature like scenery and plus it's home to both woodworking and leatherworking which are great crafts.

Lalafell Conjurer
Starting City: Limsa-Lominsa

I love the small races and magic is always fun.

I think the rocky shore images look like a fun part of the world to start my exploration.

What will your first character in Eorzea be? Lalafell - Lancer male

and what nation-state will you start in? Why? Ul'dah, because to me it seems to be pretty technologically advanced, and the fact that it's located in like a desert/savannah type setting, also the dome shape design of the city is something I cant wait to glance at from the field outside.

What will your first character in Eorzea be and what nation-state will you start in? Why?

I am going to be a Miqo'te Lancer or Archer starting in Ul'Dah. I want to be a Miqo'te because they look so cute and I was a Mithra in FFXI, so I just wanted to continue the trend. Lancer and Archer both appeal to me because they do a lot of damage and don't require me to worry about healing anyone! (In FFXI, or in most other MMORPGs in general, I always end up being the healer somehow. O_o I wanna break away from strictly being a support-type character.)

I want to start in Ul'Dah because I like the idea of being in a huge, bustling city with lots of trade. We don't know too much about it yet, but it seems like it would be reminiscent of those staple "RPG Cities" in 3D RPGs; large in size, has many winding roads, paths, and alleyways, has amazing/impossible/beautiful architecture, and a LOT of people and exciting events going on. That appeals to me greatly, so I'd love to start out there!

My first Character would be a Lalafell and I would start in Gridania. The class I would start as is Thaumaturge.

The reason I would be a Lalafell is because when I was playing FFXI before I always wanted to try the Taru, but I never got around to being one. I was always hume. I liked the idea of pulling the Mithra's tails and having them say cute remarks. I wander if that would be the same in FFXIV lol ;P

I picked Gridania because it reminds me of Windrust in FFXI. I liked that nature element of it. The way Gridania sounds is more like a jungle setting and kind of hidden in a way, which I think I would really like. I always love being around anything that has a lot of nature. Plus it would be a good place to hide my Lalafell if I get into trouble ;P

Midland Hyur - played an elvaan in FFXI, I grew tired of looking like a giraffe.

What nation-state will you start in?
Limsa Lominsa - I always liked the idea of a port city, would have been a citizen of Jeuno in FFXI if I could have.

I will start as an Elezen, beginning my journey in Gridania, because i believe that will be the most central area for trade and to me feels the most home like place foir an Elezen with the dense forests that surround it.

I plan to play as a Duskwight Elezen Pugilist. The Duskwight seem to have a nice background of pillaging and robbing which is perfect for The Astalicia. Since I feel so attached to The Astalicia I must choose Limsa Lominsa. Seems like a perfect fit for how I plan to develop my character.

My first character will be a Miqo'te Archer, starting in Gridania. I spent most of my time in FFXI as a Taru and Hume, so I want to try focusing on on a Miqo'te. Archer is my favorite class, so I'd like give my feedback. I'm starting in Gridania because, what better place for an archer, than a forest?

My first character will be an Elezen male, starting in Ul'Dah.

While I do like Gridania, I will start in Ul'dah because of the proficiency of the city in regard to clothmaking. I am hoping that the clothmaking craft will allow players to craft casual or appearance clothing that will allow extra variety in the player character appearances.

My first character will be a Lalafell Thaumaturge starting out in Ul'dah. I played a Taru in FFXI and it'd be odd for my buddies crossing over to XIV if I was suddenly at eye-level, so I chose Lalafell. As for Ul'dah, I think a city with a strong focus on commerce and recreation ought to be entertaining to play in. The fact that it's also the home of the Thaumaturges' Guild is also a plus.

Duskwight Elezen, because i was an Elvaan in FFXI as for classes mainly Pugilist beucase i always liked close-combat but also Marauder really enjoy 2 handed weapons and big damage. For crafts probably Armorer, Blacksmith and Culinarian Starting City Uldah because desert seemskind of cool, and on the information about it says its going to have fighting arenas thats going to be veru fun.
Hopefuly test game features to have a good bug free game on release, cant really count the times a game was not proprly tested and release with major bugs.even after months after release still continue.

I will play a Plainsfolk Lalafell Conjurer because I started off as a Black Mage Tarutaru in FFXIV and then went on to be a White Mage. In this new game, I want to continue playing these roles, and Conjurer happens to be able to do both. Lalafell because I like 'em.

I will start off in Limsa Lominsa because I think it's a beautiful city - and prefer a seaside setting over a forest.

i will be piaying a lancer Elezen Male, and most likely starting in limsa lominsa.
Why?
the reason for my character choice wouid be simply the continuation of my FFXI adventure.
I played an Elvaan Male in FFXI, and I grew a strong bond with my character. My friends know my character name, and it's liked to the face and the character. To change that, after having a very happy experience in FFXI would be just silly of me. I'II be the same character, on a new adventuer, on a new adventure in a new world.

The reason for my city choice? It's most reminiscent of San d'Oria so far, and that's where I'm from!

My first character would be: Hyur Pugilist (Midland Hyur)
Starting nation-wide are: Ul'dah

I've been really fond of a pure fighting class. In Final Fantasy XI, Monk seemed to be that role. I never had a chance to play a Monk, so of course I'm really looking forward to inheriting the abilities bound to a pugilist and using them to my greatest disposal. I've been playing Final Fantasy Since I was two years old. It's somewhat a tradition in our family to play and own all final fantasy games. I did happen to play final fantasy XI for about 4 years total, until I got bored.

I know I'll be attached to Final Fantasy XIV for another four or so frustrating years of pure utter grinding. But honestly, I'm looking forward to the challenge, and anything I can do to make the game and community a better place would be a great honor. I'm also getting my wisdom teeth out on wed. and it would be a fantastic surprise!

...aka please pick me :D (randomly, of course!)

P.S. I'm almost certain that Alyster777, lethaltoke and koenigcrusher are the same entity. ZAM please check those IPs! :D

I'm going to start with a Highlander Hyur Marauder. I like being in the thick of combat and who doesn't have a need to smash something with a giant weapon once in a while?

As far as where I plan to begin adventuring from, Limsa Lominsa seems a likely place. After all that is where the "Marauders Guild" (The Astalicia) makes it's home.

I mainly decided to start with a Hyur this time because they are the most "Human" like race. I usually go for the more fantasy style characters like my Mithra and Elvaan. This time around I want a character who looks as closer to me, albeit a brutish, axe wielding me. :)

My first character will be a Male Lalafell Conjurer from Gridania.

Why? Just stuck in my ways, I guess. I currently play a Taru BLM from Windy, so it just feels like a natural transition. I like playing a small character with mysterious powers - unassuming at first glance. I really like the idea of coming from Gridania - it looks safe, hidden and like a part of the natural world. I don't want my character to hail from some place that looks like Medieval Europe, or anything that reminds me of real-life cities. As far as discipline, Botanist and Alchemist look tempting, so I haven't ruled those out just yet.

My character will be a Hyur from Limsa Lominsa. I pick Limsa since the city design are fantastic and fishing towns are fun! I would choose Gladiator as my class because everyone needs a tank. I started FFXI as a RDM then a NIN. Now I'll give FFXIV's tank a shoot.

My first character is going to be a Male Elezen and i will most likely go DoW for being a Lancer. i really want to feel the environment at first hand so my starting city will be Gridania.

Why?
Well i began as a Elezen on FFXI so i will be carrying on his legacy on FFXIV. I always stuck to the roots of being a dragoon because i enjoyed it so Lancer seems like the obvious choice to start off for me. The main reason why i want to start in Gridania is because it seems by looking at it that it will give out a calm and radiant aura just by looking at the environment, it just seems like its inviting you to start here.

I played a ranger in EQ, a hunter in WoW, and I love that type of class. I have played all other FF products Including FFXIII, I would love to see how this game compairs, and to see how this class/race combo compairs to other games. I think limsa lominsa looks really beautiful!

My first character will be a Hyur female because I played a Hume female in FFXI for 5 years. I'd like to recreate her using even more detail then before and continue my adventures as if I opened the door to my Mog House in FFXI and stepped out into the streets of FFXIV.

I'm going to start her in Limsa Lominsa because I love the navy theme! My boyfriend and I looked at all the storylines and decided the one we were most interested in is the Knights of the Barracuda and their possible connection to the pirates. Nothing like fighting to root out corruption and make your city safer! Plus... Jack Sparrow and Long John Silver told me to and it's never wise to ignore a pirate!
