Registration CodeFollow

I went into my Square Enix Account Management system. There is a new section that wasn't there before. It is called add service. I clicked it. There is a drop down box that says Final Fantasy Beta test. I clicked on that, then the next screen is asking me to enter a Final Fantasy Beta registration code. I don't have a code and I did not get an e-mail. Where can I find the code?

They may have added that section for the fan site beta give away contests. Previously there was no 'code' access was just tied directly to an account.

Thanks. Could you or anyone check your account to see if this section was added?

Yep I see that too, though honestly I haven't checked my SE account closely so can't confirm whether it's new or not. It is intriguing that the service you can add is "Final Fantasy XIV Beta Test" though...

That'd definitely make it easier on the mods/admins of these sites when they hand out the keys. Instead of needing to collect info to send to SE to activate that user's account for beta (which would be hella tedious if nothing else), they can just drop the registration code into the email tied to their forum account.

I just checked my own account and it's there as well.

I actually saw this maybe a week or two ago; if you attempted to log into the beta-only site you were directed there to ad beta access to your account before you could log in. (someone posted a link directly to the beta site)

I'm guessing this is how you will gain beta access if you win a give-away code form the fan sites or are emailed access from SE now.

Yep, I see that too. I don't ever remember seeing that in the past.

What it looks like to me is the option to add extended services/bonuses to your account. Onion Helm, Goggles, or even register future expansion packs for XIV. What Beta Test is doing in that drop down box I have no idea.

Unless SE has changed the way they do things, there is no Beta Key. They simply take your account name, and activate Beta onto that.

Although... last time ZAM did a Beta Giveaway, you had to fill out a form with the E-mail address your Square Enix account was attached to. It doesn't look like that's the case this time? Maybe they really have switched over to Beta Keys.

This was added just recently, and 99% chance its for all the beta code give-a-ways going on right now

Thanks everyone. I thought I had something too. Keep hoping for the beta.
