plz helpFollow

i just got my new pc today. its a alienware Overclocked Intel Core i7 930 QC (3.36GHz, 8MB Cache) i had them over clock it for me. first thing i need help with is i ran cpu-z and the voltage goes up and down from 0.952-1.168 is it suppose to do that? The other thing is i have Dual ATI Radeon HD 5870, 2GB GDDR5 and in cpu-z i hit the graphics tab and one cards core is at 849mhz and memory is 1200 mhz and the other cards core is 157 mhz and the memory is 300 mhz is this normal plz help me thx alot

Wrong forum? At least try to relate this to FFXIV somehow...

All new pc threads are FFXIV related.

I'd imagine the voltage fluctuations are due to the turbo boost kicking in and changing the multiplier.

Or power saving mode kicking in and underclocking the processor when idle.

not so you can overclock your machine, but so you can start to understand the terminology and basic computing concepts. Understanding what those voltages and numbers mean might help you understand what you're looking at.
