Personally, I'm not a big fan of having to be at x before y time to get in as it adds potentially annoying restrictions to gameplay (unless SE gives us our own Ocarina of Time), but I am most definitely in favor of having a similar day-and-night cycle apply to cities and NPCs (and perhaps even the overworld -- step out into the wilderness at night and you're greeted by different beasts and encounter different situations). It would certainly add more depth to the experience, which is always a plus, not to mention it would make the game feel infinitely more fresh -- not always seeing the same person, in the same spot, receiving the same dialogue, etc. It would make things much more interesting and varied. As the say, variety is the spice of life!
Now all we have to do is recruit a number of LoZ fans matching the number of characters from Majora's Mask and play out the entire story every day and night ad infinitum. :D I can see it now: We'd get the Roegadyn to play the construction workers, a purple-haired Lalafell to play Anju, an auburn-haired Elezen to play Anju, a skinny Hyur to play the mailman, and a Miqo'te to play the
cat dog in South Clock Town! I'm sure they wouldn't mind dedicating their lives to such a worthwhile purpose...right?
