Advice on benchmark resultsFollow

Hey all,

Well I got a pretty epiclol benchmark score and need some advice on what I need to sort out before the release date.

Running on low res -

Score: 111
Load Time: 58410 ms

System spec -

Vista Home
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz 2.34 GHz
RAM - 4GB
NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 630i

I'm not sure whether the problem lies mainly with my connection (I do have a speed issue at the moment which I'm sorting out with my ISP), or whether I've also got a serious problem with my system specs as well.
It may be a mixture of both, but my connection may be clouding the results somewhat.

Any comments, advice etc needed please, even if it's just to laugh at my benchmark score, or to helpfully point out how much of a noob I am, ta :)

EDIT-
I should of also mentioned that I didn't see any graphics while the test was running, the screen was just black. I heard the audio though.

Last I heard, you need to have a GeForce 9000 series or better to run FFXIV.

Also, the not seeing video thing could be because your drivers are outdated. But you still need to upgrade your video card regardless.

Graphics card is wildly underpowered for FFXIV. Spend $200 on a good card now and you'll have something that'll last years.

This computer has a nvidia 6150 and yeah...it was worse than yours...black screen with audio but struggled to even register a score above 0...so I can't laugh...

Definitely look into a new video card and be sure to check that your power supply's enough to handle the better cards...

You scored a 111 on LOW and you're asking for advice?

The cat is definitely dead.

Ok cheers everyone, I actually saw the sticky related to benchmark results after I'd posted this, the name of the thread didn't jump out at me initally.

I think the computer spec looks 'ok' then, I just need to upgrade to a decent graphics card and sort out my connection problems.

If that assumption looks wrong to anyone, then let me know, that's my plan of action for now.

Cheers peeps.

I got a 4800 on high and in the 7000's on low.

What exactly does this mean though? Can I run the game on max settings all the time or will I have to turn them down at some points?
