I was a little reluctant making a post (since its counter intuitive to my subject) but I didn't know any other way getting this out there.

Could I urge someone who's responsible for this part of the forum to concider making a seperate Sub-Forum for all these "will my computer run this?" and " what GFX card is better?" -threads? It's getting really annoying to sift through the General forum for real information and discussion threads. Just a thought.

Cheers!

Technically we have a tech support forum, but the problem with that is that people won't go over there to post; they will still post here.

There's even a computer related sticky at the top of the page and people ignore that as well.

So yeah, the problem is not that there's no place for it (there's a sticky -and- a forum) but that most people don't use it.

a bummer, and not enough time/ personel to move all the threads I suppose :)

Ofcourse this hyseria will die down eventually and the forum will once again be filled with goodness.

There actually is a techy forum.

And a Sticky for the subject.

People are still going to use the general forum. But yeah, it would be nice if folks used the sticky if nothing else.
If, once the Moderator position is completed, the ZAM admins want me to lock every new thread that comes up and redirect/repost to the Sticky, I will... but I kinda don't think they'll want that.

Doubtful. The "Will my computer run XIV?" will be replaced by "Why won't my computer run XIV?"

It's a lot more relaxed now than it was when the benchmark first came out and it was almost nothing but computer threads. Now it's a fair mix of honest discussion, computer threads, and Wint releasing his app on every platform known to man.

After you do that, can you merge all the "What class/race/city are you going to do first?" threads?
