Some of us just have bad luck it seems. If you don't still don't have a key after tomorrow, post in this thread and perhaps some kind soul with an extra key can PM you one.

Rather than creating 20 FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU threads.

Yes please! I've been a loyal FFXI subscriber ever since NA release, buying multiple copies of the game along the way for different platforms, and never have a I once cancelled my account, so you can imagine my displeasure when I've been passed over for beta invites all this time. :(

So, it is confirmed that ZAM has sent the keys out already? I can stop constantly checking my email now?

Btw, don't send me a key. I'm still hoping I can get into the dc universe beta.

I didn't sign up for the beta as I only got a 1700 on the benchmark on low (I didn't build this PC for gaming). I figured I couldn't run it that well or at all so I didn't want to waste a key. Plus with the chance of an open beta to come along towards the end, I can wait until then. I plan on getting the PS3 version anyways as I have one and my friend will be joining on PS3 launch too.

Know what's even worse than not having a pc that runs FFXIV?

Having one that does, but waiting on the cables to arrive for it...might just give in and pay retail -.-

Anyways, hope this works out in the end, as I have yet to see hide nor hair of any beta keys.

I like it, and when tomorrow comes around and I still don't have a beta key because the fates hate me, think of me, and my tireless, grueling and backbreaking work to reveal all of those FFXIV items to everyone in Pikko's thread.

The keys will likely be sent out later today. They have not been mailed yet. Chances are, when they are sent out, there will likely be an announcement or a thread saying that they have been sent out and congrats to the winners, so wait for it and give your POP/IMAP server a break.

I am in the bad luck club for things that I want. I actually want to help test for bugs and submit suggestions to help make the game better. I bugged them about nomad moogles in selbina and mhaura for years before they listened but hey I was happy when it finally happened. Not to mention would like to see the game run on my new rig to remove any doubts I have or to give me time to fix any issues that should arise that i didnt think of. Anyway would be nice if we could all get in but I know this will not be the case. Good luck all and lets keep our fingers crossed.

To create a tight nit group, create a common grievance.

I'm sure that not getting into the beta is creating a community all on its own!

It is strange, I am almost grateful for not getting into beta (not that grateful:-). At my time of life, there is so little waiting for things. Too old to really look forward to christmas, too old to look forward to birthdays at all. Any game I want, I can just go and buy since I have a good job etc.

Not getting into beta is forcing me to wait. It is forcing me to get excited about something.....

Maybe i am just looking for the positive in my constant disappointment.

Nah, I hear ya Hallie. Lately, the only thing I've been looking forward to is seeing my girlfriend and friends. Things like video games, movies, etc. have really lost their excitement for the most part. Getting into the Beta would be one of the most exciting things ( materialistically speaking of course ) that's happened to me in a long time, but I understand where you're coming from in seeing beauty in disappointed.

No bullcrap story but i have been seriously bored with all my games because of the anticipation for FFXIV and the fileplanet thing made it worse.

I was currently active in Need For Speed World Online, Final Fantasy XI, GTA4/GTA4 TBOGT PS3/PC which i haven't played in a week. Got me Red Dead Revolver (friggin awesome game) few days ago and its starting to fade away.
Good thing the release is about a month away, i really wanted to see how the game runs on my PC and play with the character creation a bit.

Don't expect keys until tonight or tomorrow.

And for those getting ****** at Zam, this isn't their fault, they are at the mercy of SE at this point. The keys will come when they come, let's all just take a breath and relax. Have a beer (if you're of age), and come join us in IRC. Sometimes we're on topic, most of the time we're not, but it's where the cool kids hang out and act like they are ok with not being in the beta yet Smiley: thumbsup

That's what you think! Only 2 weeks until I go back to school, where I spend at least 4/7 days per week away from my computer. :(

I have a key, but ffxiv beta wont download on my old lap top (had to at least TRY). gonna try and get a "premade" (please dont firega5 me) computer and upgrade the video card this friday (read payday) and hope i can get some beta in. Not sure, but since I cant download the client does that mean the key can still be used by someone else?

Your key can be used by someone else if the site made duplicates and someone else registers before you, aside that no the keys are one time use (until stated otherwise) so no sharing the key.

Also research thoroughly...because getting a premade PC and upgrading can be bad because the rest of the hardware may not be compatible or able to handle new upgrades which is why its best to build yourself.

Still looking for a key here also. I've applied to so many of these contests I REALLY hope I can win ONE of em. If I somehow manage to win on multiple sites, I will be coming here and giving out any extra to people here (yes I realize that is wishful thinking to win more than 1, but meh). If I don't win any, I guess I'll just have to buy myself some consolation beer to drown my sorrows...

PS- I'd be willing to TRADE said consolation beer for a beta key >.> <.<

Doesn't really take too much research. Just make sure you have a nice PSU (check recommended wattage for your card). Honestly if he's buying a premade computer the motherboard will have PCI-E slots for the card, and from there its just a matter of plugging it in haha.

More than likely if the size of his computer is ATX not micro-ATX the psu will be at least 500w and thus he'll be just fine.

On topic.... I too will trade said beer for beta keys. I have really very good beer, micro brew from Wisconsin, DEFINITELY worth a beta key, haha.

Yeah I was going to ask if anyone knew if keys have been distributed yet, but seeing a lack of "I GOT IN!" threads plus pikko herself not mentioning it, I would assume they still have yet to dish them out, so here is to some hope! Like everyone else in this thread my luck with this sort of thing usually isn't the best. But thats ok, we're getting close to just a month away and although it will pass SLOWLY I can bear the wait if I must.
