Beta keys have NOT been sent out yet. Don't expect them until tonight at the earliest. If you're bored join us on IRC :)

Just read on the Eorzepedia forum that SE has delayed sending the keys by a day or two...

And I cannot seem to be able to find the iirc site. I've also tried that link, but doesn't seem to work for me.

Its not a site... you need to download a client. Um... Wint had info on a good one. I'll poke him into posting.

Is that the opposite of "The few, the proud, the Marines"?

Well since my stereo was stolen out of my car (at work, in broad daylight, in a fenced-in parking lot) I would like a beta key so that I feel better about myself and life in general. Otherwise I may have to start picking on small children to accomplish the same feeling.

Mongoose, Sorry to hear about your radio.

I know the feeling. I remember coming home one day a few years ago and finding my Xbox gamecube and 3,000$ in games and game accessories stolen. It sucked. Least FFXI was there for me... it was such a good escape.

But the best feeling was getting insurance money to go an replace them all....

Jesus, chin up guys, this isn't for time for moping around saying how you never win anything, most of us don't, but who gives a fuhk? Let's just enjoy ZAM, hope for a beta key, and if not? Well..one more month left. Get a girlfriend/boyfriend in that time (I already have a GF who gives me cute little headaches..of love i guess...) but anyway, there's a lot to perfect in life rather than waiting around for 2% chance on a beta key coming your way.

I feel like a preacher now.

=/ so true, luck doesn't shine on my side either, it is so sad how hard is it to get in this beta, and right now I lost hopes in having a Open Beta at all.. seems I will have to keep myself busy and wait until the 22nd.

I wouldn't say it was "hard" to get into beta... just random. If SE expected us to write a 500 page thesis it would be "hard" - as it is it is just annoyingly limited... that is all.

Ironically through no fault of ZAM it turned out to be all of us. :) The wait is not as bad as long as new footage pics and info keep pouring in steadily.

NO!!! I need this Beta to get away from the wife, not the other way around ><. Regardless if it's a mini demo or a a small piece put out to test only certain stresses that many non-fans deem broke (who also seem unfit to test FFXIV do to some predetermined bias against FF in the first place), I need this! Even revamped my FFXI account, which only lasted a couple months, as progress seems pointless at this stage. Just playing, sort of; been following this for over a yeah and a half, I can wait for my Onion Helm and FFXIII gifted gauntlets if need be.

Pick on the older people that act like kids, there reactions are much more entertaining.

Yeah but their punches might actually hurt, and that would defeat the whole purpose of feeling stronger than someone else.
