I scored a 1100 give or take. I turned off all the bells and whistles on the beta and the game runs fine. During some cut scenes sometimes its gets a little choppy. Game play is great no lag. Also the environment still looks so so good but i do have the weather on still. I have not joined a PTY yet but i was killing stuff along side others and the game was running fine. I do not know what my FPS are. I would say anywheir from 20-40 maybe.
I would say waitg till you get the game and see hoe it plays on your pc.

I'm using a HP HDX 16 series. 500GB Intel(R)duel core(TM)2 Duo CPU P7750 @ 2.27GHz 4GB RAM 64bit OP System Windows Vista Pack2 with a Nvidia 130m.

To tell you the truth i'm surprised the game is running so good on my laptop.

EDIT: I have Shadows on Standard, Texture Quality on standard, Texture filtering on HIgh. Ambient occlusion, Depth of Field is off. In game i have everything off except NAMES.
I did a Guildleve with a group of 4 and we had 6 mobs attacking us. NO LAGG AT ALL. It was great and i can still turn my setting down if I need to.

Yep I ran a 1200 and beta runs excellent, I even went to tweaked to standard texture and stuff and 1920x780 res and game is still doing well for the rig. Now i'm debating waiting til ps3 release to get the rig upgrade (ps3 is just gathering dust otherwise :S)

Almost wanna say hate to tell ya so.....

I've been preaching from the mountaintop that the benchmark wasnt accurate on what could run the game, then again, this is beta, endgame might be a little more powerful ( highly doubt it)

currently im just hating how slow the menu choices are atm

I hope people weren't looking at the benchmark as a 100% accurate tool. It's there to tell you what SE thinks you *should* expect.

However, this is beta. There's probably 10-20 times less people playing right now. I would wait until the game launches and you have thousands of people in one area and then say "my 1000-1600 benchmark score PC CAN run OK".

I have a feeling there will be quite a few people disappointed when the game launches and they are lagging bad even with the lowest settings and everything turned off.

This isn't an "Aion VS FFXIV" example to start a debate. However when Aion came out, the graphics were decently above any MMO at the time. I ran it on Low, with everything turned down with a dual core processor and ****** GPU. I didn't lag much (only occasionally) in areas where people quested, group areas, etc. Cities I lagged my way through them, "chopped" my way to the NPCs I needed. Fortress raids, were completely unplayable with 200-700 people on my screen. Again, everything on low, no special graphics like shading, weapon stuff, weather etc on.

I played the beta and live for that game. Beta I didn't have much issue at all. Once live hit is when I started getting the lag from all these new people playing that weren't in beta.

So here's hoping that it isn't this way for FF XIV, but we won't know until it launches, or you play during their beta stress test phase, but even that phase isn't going to be what it is live of course.

I am glad to hear this. Even though I got a score of 2500 on the benchmark, I was still worried about large-scale battles. Looks like I won't have to worry at all.

Yup i'm 1500 or 1600 at home and it runs pretty well.

Granted in high populated areas i have slowdown but overall it is acceptable until the PS3 version hits shelves. I have a very similar computer except mine is 2.13ghz and i have a 9800gtx instead...

I can run 5-15 FPS in cities. Nothing good but nothing horrible. Group battles etc would be brutal though unless they have something to account for the lag and possibly controls override though the lag... no idea.

This is good news for us who don't want to spend money on a new computer.

You can't change much right now, i only have 2 things turned off to increase performance in game. I also turned off windows aero which gave me a huge speed boost from when Alpha was windowed only...

Ambient occlusion is turned off
Depth of field is turned off
Shadow detail is lowest (but then again i never notice shadows anyways)
Multisampling is 1 sample

Nothing really too severe. Hopefully the options will be more extensive in release.

I can post screens if needed i'm just at work so it's a little harder client isn't installed here.

Cool deal, what resolution are you running at?

Windowed/full screen?

hey Orangejoose, I have the SAME EXACT rig as you (HD Radeon 4650, and everything else). I'm glad to hear that our rig can actually run this game! When I scored a 1150 on the beta I was ****** cuz I thought I had no choice but to wait for the PS3 version.

So your telling me I'll be able to play this on PC afterall? Even if its on low-med settings?

ah sorry forgot that.

Currently windowed, have not bothered to get fullscreen right now since it limits my forum access for bugs etc...

It is at 1280x720.

No try low, very low. It will run but it won't be great. Remember it's "bearable" if you're someone who wants to play till PS3 hits or buying a new pc a few months after release. Don't expect it to run nice when you have many people around you spellcasting and what not

My benchmark score was less than 1000 on low and less than 500 on high, and I'm still running the beta in windowed mode just fine.

Of course, I would have scored better had I gotten a slightly better video card. I only have a GeForce 9500.

Need to find my Photobucket password again, and get a picture editor since I'm only taking screenshots via Print Screen. Once I get that done, I'll post a shot or two.

Yea...I mean I don't mind if its low settings, as long as I can play and make some progress without getting a headache. I'm going to be buying the PS3 version when it drops anyway. I'm just curious as to how "bad" low settings look. Some screenshots would be nice :)!

This is great news.

90% of the time I will be playing on my main rig but I do travel and when I travel I would like to be able to at least do a bit of soloing or crafting on my laptop (M11X) which scored around 1200 on the bench.

I was worried that it wouldnt even load the game.

As I will only be crafting etc, dont really care about fps (within reason).
