This might've been posted elsewhere or already known about but if you use Vista or Windows 7 here's a gadget that displays the current Eorzea time and the coutdown until FFXIV's release date. I take no credit for this gadget, only stumbled upon it when looking for gadgets to add to my sidebar. I'm sort of going for a FFXIV theme on my desktop right now so I threw that on my desktop.

Lol I wrote that (with contributions from Majivo and Jereth), see my sig, glad you like it Smiley: wink

Also, the link in my sig will led to a more updated version on my site that lets you set race and gender.

You wrote it? Nice! If it hasn't already been added in your newer releases could you add in a feature to remove some of the timers listed like the countdown and current time? Displaying the Eorzea time is quite perfect as it seeing as I can tell the current time/date in-game without having to visit a website or start the game. And a request to change the size? I use a 1440x900 monitor and it sticks out farther than my other gadgets I use. Other gadgets on my desktop are just used for monitoring my system's temps so those are small naturally. But if you're not taking requests or anything on the subject then ignore these. The sidebar fits the current theme quite nicely as it is.

Sure I can make a minimalist version, probably won't have the background changing features, but we will see.

I'll post in the clock thread so if you want to book mark that then you'll know. I'll try to remember to pm you too.

I added it to my desktop a few days ago...it's really neat but at the same time really depressing.

I agree. It's like "Yay! More FFXIV goodies!" crossed between "No. No no no! I don't want to even think about this until Sep 21st. I can't stand the wait!!!"

It's slow going. Working with date/times is NOT like other languages.

That's the plan with this one once we have lists. Will be additional buttons on the tab bar at the bottom.
