I agree with onineko, I think these outfits are ridiculous, so I brought it up in our phone interview during Gamescom.

Me: Hello, Hiromichi Tanaka, thank you so much for taking the time to talk with us.
Tanaka: Hello, hello baby you called?

Me: My first question is about the inspiration behind the costume design in FFXIV.
Tanaka: Wha-Wha-Wha-a-a-a-a-a-t did you say, Oh, you're breaking up on me!

Me: Hello? Tanaka, can you--
Tanaka: Sorry, I cannot hear you I'm kinda busy. K-kinda busy. K-kinda busy

Unfortunately, at that point the interview was cut short. I'll try to catch him at a better time.

Kinda sad when something as old as masks gets hijacked by someone in pop culture and is only associated with that person and not the hundreds of years of history behind it.

Yeah, I had not related anything FFXIV to lady gaga until this post and now it's all ruined. I'm hoppin' into Epoch and going back to the 90s when things were cool.

Now this I agree with, I didn't even know who Gaga was until like a week ago, and I really wish I still didn't. Some of the masks I was kinda meh on, but a few of the designs look rather neat. Now the bandannas on the other hand have me very happy and I love the way some of them look.

This is dedicated to Pikko (as she kinda started it with the "cho-cho-chocobo face" refrain). Pikko, I in no way intended any of this to be offensive, so I hope you find it funny (honestly, I could have written it about me, but more people know of Pikko as a Tarutaru than me). Also, I'd recommend having the song playing in the background as, while the syllable count is matched up, it might feel off if you just sound it in your head.

Enjoy ^^

She wanna play it like they do in To-ki-yo
"Cast 'em let 'em [Cure] me [Stun] it give me the xp" (She love it)
Strength and accuracy not important at the start
So shorties can D-D you little Tarutaru ****.

You jump real high, climb up on the side
You hold on tight, the ride of your life

Can't ride my, can't ride my
No she can't ride my Cho-co-bo
(Some-one get the booster seat)
Can't ride my, can't ride my
No she can't ride my Cho-co-bo
(Can't spur with those little feet)

Cho-cho-cho-chocobo, cho-cho-chocobo
Cho-cho-cho-chocobo, cho-cho-chocobo

She wanna ride one but she's only 3-foot 3
Ev'ryone is riding "Yeah, ev'ryone but me!" (She hate it)
Chocobo racing isn't fun without a mount
So drink some Miracle Grow and then maybe you will count.

You stand up tall, you're still gonna fall
You hold on tight, the ride of your life

Can't ride my, can't ride my
No she can't ride my Cho-co-bo
(Some-one get the booster seat)
Can't ride my, can't ride my
No she can't ride my Cho-co-bo
(Can't spur with those little feet)

Cho-cho-cho-chocobo, cho-cho-chocobo
Cho-cho-cho-chocobo, cho-cho-chocobo

She will tell you that she loves you
Kiss and hug you
Cause she's needin' she be pleadin'
She's not crying she's just hopin', ain't no point in mopin'

Just like a Bronco in Rodeo
Let you on before it bucks you off
I promise this, promise this
You can't ride cause it's dangerous

Can't ride my, can't ride my
No she can't ride my Cho-co-bo
(Some-one get the booster seat)
Can't ride my, can't ride my
No she can't ride my Cho-co-bo
(Can't spur with those little feet)

Cho-cho-cho-chocobo, cho-cho-chocobo
Cho-cho-cho-chocobo, cho-cho-chocobo

Now, I'm going to link a video here that pertains to another game, league of legends, which is a DotA type game but has relevance to the subject at hand. I'm reluctant posting it though since if you don't play the game it might not make sense and if you do play the game chances are you've already seen this already, however, here it is anyway:

It's music for people on ecstasy to listen to while they dance and touch each other inappropriately. So yeah, it's going to be catchy and dance-able but without a lot of artistic merit.

Oddly enough, my niece went to a Gaga concert tonight.

Those criticizing her should ease up. I mean, wasn't Madonna pretty much the same for earlier generations? Highly offensive, very strangely dressed, extremely provocative, yet sang very catchy songs and had a great voice.

Thank you! I feel that most of the criticizers are being blinding by the shock-value and really abstract way she expresses her ideas. Some are really extreme and abstract, but that just leaves it more open to your interpretation. It is, by many definitions, art. And as such people are welcome to hate to or love it, but to say that it is not art or talent just because you dislike it is rude to her fans, I think.

She does have an amazing voice though, she did a really great duet with Sir Elton John once that I Loved! She genuinely sounds amazing live, which is uncommon today.

I'm a classical music and well... metal buff so pop music never really does anything for me. Pop music is good for what it is meant for, but I like music that makes you really think and feel and dissect the meaning behind the words. As bad as I think she is... at least she's not country... *Is stuck hearing country in the background from the contractor tearing up our kitchen*
