How to register your FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Test code

Step 1: Log into your Square Enix Account (https://secure.squar...in?cont=account)
Step 1b: If you do not have a Square Enix Account, you can create one here(https://secure.squar...m/regist/en-na/)
Step 2: Click “Add Service” under the "Service and Options" section.
Step 3: Click "Select" under "Service Name", choose "FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Test" and register the code provided to you.
Step 4: After you register your code, you will be able to visit the Beta Test site (http://dev-na.ffxiv.com) and login with your SE account and password.
Step 5: Once you’re logged in, simply select “Download” from the menu.
Step 6: Follow the “Download Installer” link to download the FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Test client.

Enjoy!

Please note that testers added during Beta Test phase 3 do not have the ability to report bugs, or post feedback on the Beta Test website.

I just thought that this will be helpful for some that aren't sure what to do with the key they get.

The funny thing, is we're still in Beta Phase 2. Beta Phase 3 is Open Beta.

But they kept saying Open Beta was going to be Phase 3 >.<

Does this mean OB is going to be Phase 4?

beta phase 2 - closed beta phase 3 -> open beta phase 3 -> early bird release -> standard release

Closed beta 3 and Open beta 3 should have the same contents
only open beta will have lots more participants and therefore they can stress the servers and test the capacity.
(I could be wrong)

We can't create a character in Ul'dah or Gridania, which they said we'd be able to do in Open Beta so...

We still have the exact same content from before, there hasn't been any patches yet...

You aren't here to test, you're here to take up resources.

I'm sure when ZAM releases the beta keys, they will provide instructions to those who have received them. The beta has it's own forum where a lot of bugs and suggestions are posted.
