Are they instigating a time limit. I can see someone spending all day there if not monitored.

Wow, nine hubs to play FFXIV across Japan? That actually sounds less like a good marketing move and more like a great way to start a never-ending bar fight (metaphorically speaking) in nine places simultaneously across Japan.

The majority of cafes down here in Okinawa are first come first serve. If you want to sit there and you're paying the money, they really don't care. Not sure how it is in mainland though. I wish the beta was coming here though.

There doesn't seem to be any time limit, though you have to pay for all the time you spend there. Still, from my experience at arcades, cost never seems to slow down the hardcore gamers :)

That sounds neat - do they get a saved character or does the Cafe just have some set characters for people to play with?

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.

You use your own Square Enix account, so it sounds like you login like any other player and go through character creation and everything.
