See...there's a flaw there...I don't like grinding. Most people who quit FFXI did it because they don't want to grind anymore. It was fun the first few hundred hours but now it's old.

I do not understand this logic for someone who wants to buy an MMO. Every MMO has a grind in it, if you don't like grinding, you shouldn't be playing MMOs. I don't think anyone in their right mind would think that SE can push out enough guildleves for you to do infinitely - sure they can allow re-dos on all of them without the 48 cool down, how long before that gets boring. My advice to you, without meaning to sound like an ***, don't like grinding? stay away from MMOs.

Guildleves/quests are grind too. So far the only advantages of leves is getting money/eq and when the world is really camped they give you mobs that you don't need to fight other players for. I was getting better exp for a longer time by duoing.

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.

I also have to say I started a Warhammer trial a few days before getting my key, and I couldn't be damned to play that for more than an hour at a time because it was so boring and souless. Even with all of its bugs and random boots FFXIV is way more fun. I partied with two random people today, one of them japanese - it brought back memories of all the reasons why I love this series.

I don't think the beta is perfect or anything - there are things that need a lot of work, but the gameplay itself and the design of the class system is pretty phenomenal.

Are the PS3 owners secretly laughing at us??! Because when the game comes out they won't have to deal with this!

Okay, I'll let the cat out of the bag. SE personally contacted all of us PS3 players and apologized for the delay. As a little present, they implemented the Surplus EXP system to drive the PC players bats so that we would have some fireworks to watch on the forums while we waited for the PS3 release.

*Pours a cup of tea*
