Here's what we found.
I have a DSL connection. with that they gave me a modem. only I thought it was a only a modem , it is also a router. if you have a router at the back of that nothing is getting to the computer. As you are routing a router...

What I did: Unplug my linksys Ethernet plugged the pc directly into modem/router.
mine is a embarq 660 series see here http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ZyXEL/P-660HW-D1/eMule.htm

I enabled Upnp and turned off the router/modem firewall, found my port numbers as they have changed again, and set the forwarding to that.
Restarted updater and am now downloading at 200Kb/s 53 remotes connections.

I do hope this helps someone, and Thanks Deth for the help

If you get your after market router unplugged and plug your comp into the modem/router and do not know your IP you can do the following:

start>run>type in "cmd" hit enter>at prompt type in "ipconfig". the address you need is IPv4 should be "192.168.#.#"
