I was invited to the beta, unfortunately, my dinosaur will not run the beta well at all. Looks more like a slideshow. However, I just ordered my stuff for my new game rig that should be here tomorrow. I was just wondering if you guys that have been playing could look at this and tell me what kind of performance I 'should' be able to get.

AMD X4-965BE
XFX Radeon HD5870 2GB
ASUS M4A89GTD PRO
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB DDR3-1600 RAM

Thanks for your help, im looking forward to your responses.

That looks like it'll give you a great experience with the game.

I'm guessing not quite max, but still fairly high settings.

Looks good. If you're comfortable with overclocking and push the 965 up to around 4Ghz I've seen some results showing the 5870 can hit around 5000 on high.

Get the 5870 1GB version.

The extra 1GB wouldn't help much. Unless you plan to play the game on 3 monitors.

I'll definitely do some overclocking, i've read that the X4-965 will clock up to 4.2GHZ. I plan on going to 4GHz. I got an Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro for my CPU. The case im geting has 3 fans and im adding 2 more so it will get plenty of air. Cant wait to be able to play. I put the Collectors Edition on reserve today. Come on 9-22!!!

Most people that overclock it typically get around the 3.8-3.9ghz range. The C2 and C3 processors are a lot harder to get over 4.0, I've gotten 4.1 stable on the 965, but even with water cooling, 4.2 I couldn't touch without doing a serious voltage tweak. If you do get it, get the highest OC you can keep stable without a voltage tweak, and call it quits. I run my cpu at 19X210mhz. If you have any questions once you get it, feel free to send me a message.

I have a similar build (i5-760, XFX 5870, 4GB G.Skill 1600) and the Beta runs great.

At 1920 x 1080 (4x AA, DoF on) I am getting a solid 45+ FPS except in the most crowded areas where it occassionally drops to 25. My case also has 3 fans, and with an aftermarket cpu cooler the highest temps I've registered are 65 GPU / 42 CPU, both well below the manufacturers specified max ratings.
