You seem intent on trolling these forums and badmouthing a game that hasn't even released yet. If you want to have a more accurate comparison, compare it to FFXI, which is SE's other MMORPG. Better yet, go away.

i am also very excited.

And to Imaboomer; I dont care what you think about FFXIII...
I for one thought that game was awesome, it had it flaws, but every other FF game has had that aswell. So dont come here with your sh... please.
FFXIII was RPG/Strategy game, this is a MMORPG.

I'm pretty excited too. I was a little worrying about the game from reading all these negative threads before I actually got my hand on the beta, but after I played the beta, I could feel that the game is pretty solid. It just needs some fine tunes here and there and it would be a great game!

I too am getting very excited. I'm looking forward to the things that are not locked down or not implemented yet in beta.

Long high-level sessions with Sabin in your party resulted in a very sore thumb from inputting the Bum Rush blitz on the d-pad over & over again. In SE's typical "know-it-all" fashion, they totally disregarded the well being of my thumb when giving me one of the best moves ever...

I'm still just as excited as I would be even if people WEREN'T complaining about the game. Of course I want the issues to be fixed, but I'm far more determined to have a good time than I am to pick at flaws. I have no doubt in my mind that the UI is going to be fixed by release, which was the only real thing that would be a detriment to my enjoyment of the game. The surplus/point allocation limits would affect me as well, as my play-style in FFXI was a combination of the two: I leveled lots of jobs and min-max'd them once they hit 75, but the process was grinding quickly through one at a time (and I LOVED level grinding in FFXI)... But I'm flexible enough that I would much rather work around it than stress/complain about it to the point where I stopped enjoying something I've been waiting a long time to play and enjoy. I DO have an issue with some of the things other people have issues with, but as I'm not in beta and don't really have much say in the matter, I'm just going to let it go and do whatever it takes to enjoy myself.

Even though you're a troll and even though I hated FFXIII, this is apples and oranges.

I can't wait for the 22nd.

There are some improvment to be made in this game, but isn't wow and many other MMO has the same problem when they were still in beta? I believe FF14's game play and the overall game concept are just unique and solid. We all know SE will keep changing and improving this game in the next few months and years. To be honest, after playing the beta, Cataclysm is looking less and less attractive, I almost want it to fail.

I am also incredibly excited. This promises to be the most awesome FF experience to date.

Customizable characters? - check
Engaging storyline? - check
In-depth charcter advancement? - check
Beautifully orchestrated music? - check
Jaw-dropping Japanese art, fully rendered in a seamless 3D environment? - check
Complex, yet easy to control, battle system? - check
Unique armor and equipment that changes your appearance when you equip it? - check
Innovative crafting system? - check
Party search system by intended accomplishment? - check

Did I mention the beautiful artwork?

It's already awesome and by all accounts it's getting better with every Beta phase. We are going to see improvements when the Open Beta starts. Release will be even more polished.

Soon after, there will be version updates to fix remaining problems, no doubt. Followed by expansions that implement the most commonly requested features that are not currently present.

Some people know all this. Some are impatient. Others are going to make their buy/play decision based on Beta impressions or misinformation. By the time the PS3 version hits the bulk of the casual gamers will get exactly what they would expect from a high-budget FF MMO.

Through all this the core FF fans will be enjoying themselves.
