There are more things to worry about than surplus and fatigue
You know you have a point here. Crashing every 20 minutes with depth of field on isn't much fun. . and the touchy directX thing forced me to ditch my graphics overclock. . which I'm not happy about either.
It occurs to me, is it possible that the whole purpose of the fatigue system is to cover up that they're not anywhere near as far along with the game as reason would suggest they should be? I mean, what if they haven't finished any of the 30+ areas yet? Sure, it [mostly] looks good (except for the empty white pixels that flash out at night from unfilled trees or whatnot) but it doesn't feel anywhere near as polished as a "nearly complete" work should.
I say "nearly complete", since they should be printing RTM discs at this point in prep for launch.
What're they REALLY hiding with fatigue????
