I'm looking at surplus as a new challenge. Something to master just like the best way to max xp in a party was. What's the best mobs to kill, wheres the safest place to camp, does barfira reduce gob bomb? They were all challenges we learned to deal with and knew nothing about.
I think its great to have something in the game that is different from the same boring *** grind. No one knows when the timer starts or if the statement was for beta and may change in release. Since he was just talking about beta before this. Open beta is coming up and I'm more then sure this will be in it. If they feel it needs to be adjusted afterwards then they'll do that. Also we don't know what saved surplus is. "Any experience earned past that point is saved as “surplus.” There is surplus for each class, and if you begin to see it please consider playing another class and adjust accordingly." This might become bonus exp next time you go to level that job.
To all you crybabies that say if surplus stays you're leaving. BYE BYE WE LUV U!!! Us real gamers are playing the game Square Enix is making and not the one you guys think they should make. If you so badly want a game to do all the things you want to do on. Then get out of your parents basement go to school and learn how to make games and make your own.
