Hey guys,

Just wanted to throw the XIV podcast into the mix since this seems to be a pretty hot topic..

This is pre-tanaka and the "explanation".. but it's still pretty **** relevant if you ask me.

Those people are kinda dumb, how could you not know what comes with the CE edition when you order it? Also they talk about the game like they played it for 5 minutes. Blah, that is how I feel.

I've been following this podcast for a while now. Yes, they don't know much, but it seems they do care to continue with their XIV podcast as much as they do other podcasts (which some are fairly interesting if you're into other mmos). I do hang out there when I have nothing else to do on Sundays, as they pretty much broadcast all day.

The best thing to do with podcasts like this, is show up when they are live on Sundays around 2:30CST in the chatroom and correct them when they're wrong, lol.

I will def be there, but where is the chat room? I still don't get how you could order something without knowing exactly what you bought though.

I don't see how you don't know any impulse buyers (or at least heard of them) who just buy stuff because it looks cool but don't know anything about it. Happens all the time. Lots of women do this.

Their thoughts on the game aren't far from the truth, the reason you think their views are dumb is because your a probably a long time fan. Especially with the whole "Tanaka's Twitter Sent the Wrong Message" issue that just happend. So how can you call their views "dumb"? especial without providing any sort or reason or logic behind your statement.

I couldn't agree with you more. I've never made it through one of these things - they are so disorganized and rambly and terrible. It makes me want to do my own podcast because I simply don't think I could do worse.

That and the painful flirting and exagerrated laughter.

They are dumb because they bought something without knowing anything really about it other than it is the CE. Then they keep saying we don't know what else will come with it.

Well, I like them.

The first show they were pretty much lost and wrong about a lot of FFXI info,

but for me, the later shows really picked up. Not being in beta myself at the time (later I made it, yay) I really appreciated the guy's excitement when he started talking about the cut scenes and how amazing the game was looking. They just really seem to enjoy the game, and we get both points of view (the wow crowd and the ffxi crowd); kind of like while he was used to playing with a mouse and was having a bit of a time adjusting, Kenzie was already used to the FFXI keyboard).

It's not perfect yet, but I see a lot of potential in the show, and I give them the thumbs up!

I appreciated the podcasts. As a long time FF fan but not able to get into the Beta (I'm still working on installing windows on my mac and having issues :( ) I especially liked hearing about their actual experience in the beta. Most sites are too busy talking about what's wrong with it or what PR mistake SE made this week. While I want to know about those things too when you look at this for what it is, a podcast about what they think about the beta and XIV in general there are some good pieces of information that I appreciated knowing.

Among the more interesting tidbits for me were:
Keyboard/Controller use. (I completely forgot how little mouse use 11 had since I've been playing wow for 2 years)
Information about the lore (such as the gods)
Impressions of the battle and crafting systems (since I'm not in beta)
Opinions of the character creation process (since SE has made a big deal about it, but I've not been able to experience it)

Overall Good job. Keep them coming.
