I went to Fileplanet and downloaded the FF14 Beta Launcher. (#1 Hottest file download) It prompted me to then install Download Manager, i proceeded to download (ffxivsetup.exe) next. i have the ffxivsetup.exe in My Documents. so i double click to accept and then i get an errror --->

"Not enough free disk. installation requires %dGB of free space on the drive containing
the My Documents folder. The installation wizard will now end."

i can only click cancel. So i tried downloading the file from somewhere else and it still does
gives me the same error. So i changed the target of my main drive(750Gb) to my 2nd drive(500Gb)
and still get the same error. Here is my pcs SPEC's what can i do?

XP professional x64 edition
i7 CPU 920
memory 6134MB RAM
DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 275

Did you move your "My Documents" folder to the new drive? Did you make sure you actually had enough disk space on the drive?

I had the same issue with XP 64- even with large amounts of space free (I believe %Gb is meant to be in the neighborhood of 11 gigs, and I had 200+free, on different drives), even moving the folder around, the message didn't change. I actually had to install Windows 7, at which point it worked fine, and I was able to go back to XP and run the downloader. Looks like some kind of bizarre bug, unfortunately. The install isn't actually very big before you start downloading files, though - maybe try installing it on a friend's PC, use a flash drive to copy it to your PC, and then just run FFXIVboot?

So you are running windows 7 now or you went back I didn't really understand.
Xp64 totally sucked when it came out but after the first service pak it's actually been my favorite OS ever and the fact that they're not updating makes me not so happy--keep in mind Microsoft still owes me money for the three registered copies of windows 98 XD!!!

I'm just always looking to find someone who has made the switch so they can tell me if it's worth the $$$ to buy Windows 7 because they changes aren't anything that great, for me personally, except of course the problems when installing the newer games, MMORG's, etc.

I am having the same problem
and I have win xp 64 bit as well

I read on the other site that it might have something to do with it being a 64 bit OS since more people have trouble installing.

I tried moving the my folders there's no restriction whatsoever.
And have 2 150gb drives(my c drive only has windows on it). so it cant be the lack of free space >_>
