Where are they? D:

I want to level multiple stuff, but for the life of me, I can't find anything in that dang pirate city. Right now, I mostly want whatever weapon I need for black mageish stuff. Maybe a weapon for a Cure spell, too. Actually, doesn't Thermometer(or whatever it's called XD) do both? Club weapon then?

i r confuzzled

They were all over. Thundersticks wutever name is in upper lim lom sold low lvl versions of each weapon. So right there you have access to all the DoW classes.

There's two vendors in a store (forget the name) directly south of the pub (also forgot the name, though, it had something to do with a dirty woman I think) on the top level. It's the first thing as you go south.

Although, now that I think about it the fish store might have been first and the other store might have been second.

Can't be all over! Smiley: bah Every merchant I talk to seems to just have crafting stuff. I'll have to look for this Thundersticks fellow, though. Thanks in advanced!

Upper deck in LL, south of the Hyacinth (south of Mizzenmast), sells the starter weapons for Magic and Combat.

Thundersticks is the name of the store. You can find it on the Limsa Lominsa map. I believe it's on the second story.

Yep it's south of that aquarium-looking store, which is south of the inn where you get guildleves. (Forgot all the names lol)

...Have to wonder, though, who came up with those store and NPC names? Thundersticks? Do they sell magic flying broom or something?

That will probably change a little. In phase 2, you could buy most weapons in Hawkers alley, minust axes and sword/shields, which were found at Thundersticks or w/e. They changed all of that in phase 3, so i'm guessing that your guess will be as good as mine in open beta.

"Thunderstick" is just a term referring to a gun. It's meant to be evocative of the period of time early on in the life of firearms...it's like an archaic way of describing what was at the time an unfamiliar concept.

Ah I see. But the thing is they don't sell guns...yet. :p

Speaking of this. . I'm not knocking the game, but do you think SE biffed the designs a bit? The moment I logged in to FFXI and even WoW for that matter, it seemed like I kinda already knew where everything was somehow. Almost like they designed it in that way. Bastok Markets for instance: You get your skrill from Reet, and on your way out to battle monsters - oh! there's an armor shop sweet.. oh! there's the weapon shop!.. oh snap I can grab some potio... nvm they're too expensive.. I don't know I've never felt so out of place in a town before Lominsa.

Small correction, the name of the weapons shop that carries the DoW and DoM weapons is called "Thundersqualls Thundersticks". (I'm such a nerd for this kind of stuff)

Yup that's it...for some reason to me that name sounds like it should be a shop in Harry Potter or somethin' -shrugs-

yeah the whole multi-level map that doesn't really label things not on your level is not super helpful.

DoL tools were found in hawkers alley (the closest to zephyr gate, I believe) and most of the craft tools were down in hawkers alley too - except for crafts that had guilds in limsa like culinarian and blacksmith.

And the DoW and DoM weapons were in thundersticks on the same level as the inn where you get guildleves.

That's exactly what came to my mind! The JP name was simply Thundersqualls Gun & Sword Shop. Kinda unimaginative, I know, but at least you know what they're selling!
