So I haven heard anything about this yet but with the 2 other cities being able to be used in open beta how huge will the download be this time. I know people had a lot of issues with over 24+ hours download for just limsa lominsa.

Chances are that the 24+ our download was the entire game. LL was the only part you could play, but the rest of the game was there.

There is evidence to back this up in that people were apparently able to "get around" some of the road blocks that defined the playable area in the beta. I have not seen it myself, but I've seen it alluded to several times.

The method in question involved *edit* actually I shouldn't even say. There was nothing really to interact with though in these places. The NPCs and stuff weren't put in there.

During phase 2 or 3 of Beta 2 (before it was 24/7) something fried on the servers and all dynamic objects (mobs, npcs, doors) totally vanished. I was able to explore almost the entire map which would have normally been closed off (which I was totally unaware of). There was nothing to do though. No mobs to fight or npcs or crystals or anything. It was kinda eerie. There were only other players.

There was the Winiport (think thats what it was called) glitch also... allowed you to gain access to another town/hamlet. Pretty pointless really because nothing could be aceived by it apart from seeing something that you werent supposed to have access to.

That actually sounds pretty cool, though. I spent a good chunk of my Phase 3 time just wandering around, though I was only Rank 7 or 8. If there was nothing around to kill me, I would have gone there just to explore and enjoy the scenery.

Towards the end of beta I just wandered around just to see what was available and try to find all the different monsters that were in place.

Very few things aggro in the beta so far. You should make sure to explore all of the caves, because some of them lead to some interesting places.

There was a thread about those glitches in the beta forum, but it was removed when I was halfway through reading it :/

FYI, Phase 3 was about 6.7GB installed. According to official site, at release it will be 21GB (15GB on disc, 6GB downloaded), so I highly doubt Phase 3 was the whole world. It may have been all of La Noscea. I would be very surprised if open beta wasn't closer to the 21GB mark, but since they already said there'll be a level cap, I doubt it will be the full game either.
