Useless Beta Invite StatisticsFollow

#1 Aug 28 2010 at 2:37 AM Rating: Excellent
As of right now, there are 35,716 beta accounts not counting those who were added with keys. These are accounts that had their SE accounts activated by SE themselves. Actual Alpha/Beta "invites" Also, these figures only reflect North American invites.

More interesting is the fact that 7/13 was not the last invite period, but 7/22 was. Nobody who was invited from 7/22 seems to have posted as far as I can tell. And the 7/22 invite pool was VERY small. 26 members to be exact.

2 accounts were activated on 7/09 -- neither have posted
2 accounts were activated on 7/02 -- neither have posted

20,000 accounts were activated on 7/13 -- Beta 2 invite wave (where I got mine)

1 account on 6/15 -- currently online but no posts.

2,999 accounts on 6/14

2699 accounts on 6/10

4,799 accounts on 6/09

1,599 accounts on 6/07 -- I'm guessing this was the start of the Beta? Anyone have an actual date?

299 accounts on 6/04

699 accounts on 6/02

399 accounts on 5/28

49 accounts on 5/14

5 accounts on 5/13

2 accounts on 5/12

13 accounts on 5/06 -- last one was a SE moderator (that's a joke)

9 accounts on 4/01

1 account on 3/30 -- has posted

135 on 3/26

293 added 3/19

1599 added 3/09 -- initial Alpha invite wave

The rest of the ~70 were added 3/05. A bit of which were SE Admin accounts.

I have too much time on my hands. Smiley: glare

If new Open Beta accounts show up as actual accounts on the forum, I can fish for how many accounts were added then too. I'd guess another round of 20,000.

Well, I pulled up the forum account info for Moderator 99 (the General board mod). I noticed in the URL that it ended with a user number. So I plugged in random user numbers until I found the last one that existed. They all show you their activation dates and posts btw.

Just kinda went from there and thought it'd be interesting to see who was invited when, lol Smiley: cool

There were only 1600 initial Alpha invites made? Like, worldwide?

Oh, I should have noted this. These numbers are for NA accounts only.

Ahh ok :) figured as much. Still, I didn't realise the selection seed (assuming similar numbers in EU and JP) was so small!

Interesting data, especially the random anomalies throughout.

Hmm, I can't really remember what date I first logged into the beta. I was waiting on computer parts when I got my invite.

Any European and/or JP beta account holders willing to try to post their region's stats?
