So this might be a little pessamistic, but I personally would not be suprised if in December/January SE gave a Press release stating that the planned release of FFXIV for PS3 has been canned and will never happen.
Now before I get Karma bombed to small particles of dust by all the rabid PS3 owners, I too am a PS3 owner and I don't have a PC (I have a mac but a mac can't run FFXIV either). So why would I say such mean things considering I am only going to be able to play FFXIV on PS3.... well If I remember correctly FFXI was initially developed for PS2 and then later ported to PC. Ever since NA release of FFXI all I ever heard was the SE could do this that or the other due to PS2 limitations. This time around FFXIV is/was being developed for both PC and PS3 and already we have the PS3 limitations card being played..... I just think that SE is trying to release a MMO thats going to be as cutting edge as possible upon release for PC (their main market) and if PS3 can't keep up then to bad so sad for them/me. I am an avid PS3 user and I also love MMO's and I have noticed that develoers of MMO's genuinely intend to bring their product to the console market but when all is said and done it doesn't happen because the tech in the PS3 is static wheras the tech in a PC can be upgraded to be cutting edge and what developer wants to release an MMO with a hopeful 5+ year life span with tech constaints that are already 3 - 4 years old already?
Anyway I hope I am wrong and this were delaying FFXIV release for PS3 until March 2011 isn't the prelude to canacelation.
