So there is all this commotion about Surplus XP and how it ranks up, and blah blah you all know the arguments because it has been discussed 100s of times.
Now they want it to balance between casual and hardcore players. Why not add a XP loss on death. Like in FFXI. Yes we all love to hate it. It gives us a reason to fear death, and makes close fights all that more exciting. Now, for arguments sake, lets say Casual people will play less, meaning less chances for them to die. While the hardcore people will be out there grinding and trying new things, unheard of things, and getting killed.
Now if we have this surplus of XP it should be used for something right? Why not have it be put toward what you would of lost on death. In other words, give it a use. Now you have the people who dont play as much and getting killed less be even with the people who play more and will more likely die more.
I think people would complain about it less, if there was more of a use to it at this point in time.
