Why is everyone so bitter about there being more than one thread on the same subject matter? I read them all. If it's so bothersome to you and just drains everything in you that you saw another thread (or multiple threads) of the same matter then you don't have to click it. You didn't have to reply or even read it. So stop acting like someone put a gun to your head and made you read it. Complaining won't get you anywhere. Let's be civil and act like grown ups.

If they didn't decide to look it up in other threads then that's their prerogative. Again you don't have to read or reply to their thread. I'm sorry for this thread I just think people should be a little bit more courtesy towards others. Even if it is on a forum.

I believe the bigger problem which started it was the umpteen threads with bad data that the rest were trying to run around and correct. Trying to be good to the forum AND keep up with the same question asked in five threads got tiresome, at best, especially if they DIDN'T answer it in all five threads, more people would end up confused.

Thus the idea of 'courtesy' that if there are five threads discussing the *exact* same topic, you usually let four die and one become the primary resource and simply link yourself over to it from the other four.

Now I'm not one of the people that bashed him as I try stay out of that but...

part of that forum courtesy is to check the first page or two for your question rather than possibly make a topic that's covering half a page already. People will get annoyed at these topics because the information or argument (whichever it is) is already readily available or answered on multiple accounts and yet another thread on it pushes other possibly more legit discussions off the page as well as being an eyesore.

Also, people don't like being asked the same 10 times a day and giving it the same answer when the same question with the same answer is on a couple threads below and again below that. Again, its an eyesore and unnecessarily.

I completely understand. It is pretty annoying having to read the same things over and tiresome having to reiterate everything. It is, but what I'm saying is there is no need to be hostile or even rude to the 15th thread of a subject because no one is forcing anyone to have to answer their question. Or if you do feel so inclined to answer their question just send them to the other link without rude comments because again...no one is forcing you to have to answer. (Definitely not pointing out any names. I'm just saying).

I do find it kind of funny when people (even now) ask when is the release date lol. I think googling something like that would be better than posting it on a forum as a question.

It's not about not having to click a thread. Courtesy works both ways. Be courteous. Make sure you aren't asking a question that has been asked 50 times already. I haven't seen any bashing really. I have seen and contributed to a bit of flaming for it though. People aren't born with manners, they have to learn them.
