Ok so I've noticed a few other Brits like myself who are using the HomeHub router and are downloading the new XIV update at a steady 3kb/s...the aim of this thread is to work together at solving the problem and hopefully others out there that are having the same problems...lord knows I need help..

This was kindly posted by 'PerrinofSylph' in another thread, but unfortunately didn't work for me, maybe it'll work for you...

Go to your router settings, accessed on ours by using in a new browser

Then log in, Go to advanced, Application sharing, Supported Applications

Now click add new game or application, name it whatever

Add the following (updated with Miks stuff just in case it helps) line by line, you only need to do it once, it auto copies for the next two inputs for each line. Ensure you have TCP and TCP or UDP and UDP and also input 0 in the last line.

TCP 55296-55551 55296-55551 TCP 0
UDP 55296-55551 55296-55551 UDP 0
TCP 80-80 80-80 TCP 0
UDP 80-80 80-80 UDP 0
TCP 443-443 443-443 TCP 0
UDP 443-443 443-443 UDP 0
UDP 57478-57478 57478-57478 UDP 0
TCP 57478-57478 57478-57478 TCP 0

Now go back to configuration, from the drop down select the name you used, click it and apply it

Should be good to go

Notice I overdid things a bit, seemed to help
