Does anyone know how to make this work? My wife and I want to play together but I can’t figure it out. We're both trying to download the beta right now. I opened the ports on my uverse router, but it will only allow inbound traffic on one computer at a time. What am I missing? I'm assuming that even if I could copy the files from my computer to hers, we'd still have a problem with her connecting the servers. How do we get around this?

Thanks!

2 better options I have found.

Either find the patch file /Documents/My Games/FFXIV Beta/something something something/largefile.patch and copy that to the same location on the other computer once it finishes downloading but before the installer deletes it.

Or you can just copy the whole game folder /Program Files (x86)/Square-Enix/FFXIV over to the other computer, the game doesn't use any registry files right now, so you can just copy the folder from one computer to the other without problem.

This way you won't have to download the 4GB patch twice. Once we hit retail though... you better hope SE comes up with a better solution.

That's the answer I was looking for. We left our computers on today as we left for work. If they're not done by tomorrow morning I'll turn one off and wait for the other to finish.

Thanks and happy gaming!
