It seems crafters will have to level all the crafts at least part way to take advantage of the different crystal elemental boosting abilities.

No... some of the other crafts have skills that increase the effect other stats have. I think it just boosts how you do with a craft based up on whatever stat the ability is attached to. But if you don't use the ability, stats have no effect on crafting at all.

Knowing SE, stats may have some undiscovered effect on crafting. There just hasn't been any testing. Personally, they must have some effect, otherwise why would there be abilities that up your sats specifically for crafting?

Maybe STR helps armorsmith's with quality, and maybe dex is something a goldsmith would need for high quality items that are real small like earrings. MND could be for concentration, so that your crystal shard doesn't destabilize so much.
Obviously, this is just speculation, but who knows. I can see SE using stats as hidden effects. But not so hidden, since they are right on crafters abilities.

Very nice, just what I need to eventually customize my eventual character!

Any chance we can post the abilities in their respective class forums? I can help if OP is okay with it.

That list is just great! it gives the very needed light on several issues, specially the fact of a possible level cap 50 in open beta, besides knowing that would help a lot to plan out our characters.

Thanks 1011!!!

So do abilities stack? For example, can I do this:

Lv12 - Featherfoot
Tread lightly, increasing evasion. Effect fades after evading an attack.
Cast Time 0
Recast time 30

to...

Lv10 - Taunt
Whistle jeeringly, increasing enmity and temporarily focusing the target's attacks on you.
Cast time 0
Recast time 20

then...

Lv14 - Jarring Strike
Strike an enemy's joints, dealing blunt damage and stunning the target. Increases enmity. Can only be executed after evading an attack.
Cast time 0
Recast time 5
Tp cost 250

...so basically use Featherfoot and Taunt to open up a Jarring Strike. Didn't get into beta Smiley: mad so no idea how this works.

Featherfoot > Jarring strikes/Haymaker was a common combo I did.

Yeah, i actually used haymaker on my maurauder just for evaded attacks lol. Yes, you can combo them. The ability system is awesome in this game lol.

Haymaker's a lot of fun, made beating up on low level mobs a little more entertaining, paying close attention to when I evaded an attack so I could land the haymaker! If anyone was listening in they may have thought I was playing an action game with some of my outbursts....<fun> <excitement>

Oh that is just too cool, there's so much room for ability combos you're going to want to level most jobs anyway it seems.

Didn't want to bring up the "S" word but it seems they set up everything to work with it

Yeah man, that is the point of the new class system anyway.

P.S. all class abilities are now listed in their respective class forums. I'll try to keep up with it best i can.

Edit: thanks to those that helped. :)

Though in this case you probably want to go with

Lv10 - Taunt
Whistle jeeringly, increasing enmity and temporarily focusing the target's attacks on you.
Cast time 0
Recast time 20

Lv12 - Featherfoot
Tread lightly, increasing evasion. Effect fades after evading an attack.
Cast Time 0
Recast time 30

Lv14 - Jarring Strike
Strike an enemy's joints, dealing blunt damage and stunning the target. Increases enmity. Can only be executed after evading an attack.
Cast time 0
Recast time 5
Tp cost 250

Just so you have evasion up,right before your Jarring strike. Might go to waste while using taunt. Just because of this. (Effect fades after evading an attack.) You might hit Featherfoot then while hitting taunt the mob might get more than one hit off in mean time. Canceling out the Jarring Strike but maybe not. might want to play with this set op to see though.Depending how fast the battle is going.

Ya know, I was kinda hoping this time around they would have more abundant and useful passive abilities. I guess that wouldn't really work with the everyone being a hybrid class thing though.

I'm not posting to make fun of you, rather sorta agree with you. Pugilist is an old fashioned way of saying boxer and annoyed me from the start when I heard it months ago. Seriously man, why doesn't SE listen to us. We have been begging for "fancy" kicks since 11. Maybe if we wail loud enough this time we'll get something for it when they raise the level cap someday.

Seriously, some nice jarring kicks would have looked/been cool.

The sadness...

I think most of the passive skills will go under traits, so you might not be totally out of luck.

wow conj deffinately has alot of abilities.
TBH, enough so that they could have made a third DOM, similar to a WHM with all of those astral and umbral spells just by dividing the umbral and astral.
and since i know all of the classes are hybrid-y, theyre still pretty damned black and white, so yeah they might as well have just done the above imo. would have quieted a few people.

Correct, cuz there are slots for passive abilities in the abilities menu in the game.

Based off the ability's, i wana play some gladiator action. Diggin the dual voke ability's, the counter after block is pretty cool looking to. More meat shield'y then 11 was for pld/nin tanking. Im diggin it.
