FF_XIV_EN: Thank you for your patience! FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test will begin on Sep. 1, 2010 at 19:00 (PDT)!

I figured it wouldn't be a HUGE delay. If they had things pretty much ready to go, I knew it would be fixed pronto!

Portugal (main land), Ireland and UK are all on the same time GMT. Azores (Portuguese Islands) would be on GMT-1

Yeah, its becoming a whole ton of ******** that you can't get up to date information from the developer/publisher of a game without signing up and following people on that piece of garbage these days. I remember a time where they would use *gasp* THEIR OWN **** WEBSITE that often included much more than 140 char of information.

Twitter is not a requirement. It's convenient for those of us who use "that piece of garbage".

people don't worry, SE will NOT send you an E-mail with the beta key in it untill they open their Beta registration site. You logg in ( Name and Password) Then read what it says, fill out any info they ask and they send you a beta invite to the OB at the e-mail address you have in your SE Account. Simple

Pretty sure I'll be on Ultimecia. Haven't decided where I'll be starting though. I KIND OF wanna save Gridania until launch, but I don't think I can wait any longer lol.

They'll be accurate for Standard Time, but for Daylight Saving Time many (most?) will be an hour ahead (such as the UK should currently be on BST (British Summer Time), which is GMT+1, and the continental US is generally GMT-7 (PDT) through -4 (EDT) instead of GMT-8 (PST) through -5 (EST)).

He's missing USA Mountain Time, so that's where the one hour error originates. PDT is correct, CST (and everything following) is wrong.
