So.. I finally got the whole Open beta client downloaded using the torrent method. I havent participated in any of the previous beta phases, but I really wanna try the Open Beta to see if my PC can actually run this baby without to many hiccups.

I created a SE account using this site:

But when i login, i see nowhere to get an OB code.

My question is this, what site/portal am i supposed to login, to get my Open Beta code?

Or is it invite only?

Im really terribly confused about this whole thing. I hope some of you guys can clear things up for me..

Shall i login using the link in my post, or is there some magic "Beta" login place?

Also: Do i ask for a key at the site, or shall i check my mail for a code send by SE?

be warned though, there will be a ton of folks all trying to get in at the same time, so either have lots of patience or wait till later.

Yeh i remember last time i was in a beta, Aion, in the day's up to the release it was total chaos ^^

By the way - the thing about carrying names from OB to Live - do you need a preorder for that? Or can you buy the regular version, and still carry over your name?

You can carry over your name regardless of which version you bought, the only thing u need to do is choose the same Server you played in for the Open Beta (when/if we get to play it)

I enjoyed it too, but when I got into the game I had that feeling of "been there, done that". This time I'll limit my beta play to Limsa or Ul'dah so Gridania remains fresh and clean at launch :D
