Generally with P2P downloads, the more people who are connected the better the speed. The problem with the downloader is that, in P2P terms, there is only one seed (the update server) and many leechers (who will never become seeds). As soon as a user's download hits 100%, they are disconnected from the torrent and so will stop uploading to anyone else.

So to answer your question.... maybe? (It'll always vary, hard to say how updates will go in the future, will hopefully be better if they activate regional update servers so we can have multiple seeds, one of which is semi-local to us.)

If you are downloading the client now and you were not in the closed Beta you have a LOT to download. So unfortunately it will take a very long time regardless of what you do.

SE disabled people from using a third party torrent client to get the dl so you have to use SEs client.

The only thing I can suggest is disabling your active virus protection and firewall and restart the client.

you dont think with the massive amount of people that werent in the closed beta who will be updating as well, that having more people to bounce off of, the speed will increase?

Not quite accurate. Their tracker will not provide a 3rd party torrent client a list of peers. However uTorrent has a way of building the same list based on the peers (peer sharing or something) that you are able to connect to. Its kind of weird because I'm not sure how you end up with that first user to connect with but you do and it successfully builds the peer list based on that.

I know this isn't specifically related to downloading the beta, but I hope any patches on launch day don't take an age to download. I've taken the 22nd off - I've got to be in work for the 23rd and 24th, so if I get to play on the 22nd I'll be a happy fella indeed!

I'd just let it go and do something else. Took me the better part of a day to DL it - lotta good it did me.

U have 20 dmg, u shoot 30 dmg, but if ur not RNG, u want HALF, with no time reload, so u get 10. but, BUT, u want no DRG since ur shooting, so its 30 dmg or 10?
