No, just impatient.

I'm sitting here all ready to spastically try to get one of the limited, or not limited, keys .. now I need to find something (other than laundry, dishes, clean or update a spreadsheet) to occupy my next hour.

I made this mistake earlier, luckily I realized it before I was horribly upset.

55 minutes left though atleast. personally i am still downloading the update. i am NOT going to finish the 38.something % needed before 10 though. i dont understand how some people have finished so fast. ive done everything from trying utorrent to portforwarding and my download is staying at a sluggish 40-70kb/sec. been updating since yesterday lawl. but u can bet im gonna be one of those hitting F5 at 10 o clock to get a key. and ill be playing the beta tomorrow after my interview(god **** job delays my beta time /grumble/ i dont even think i want this job, bah but student loans u know how it is)

It is 9, but we are daylight for the summer so EDT, one hour later.

The concept of daylight savings time doesnt register with a lot of people.

PROTIP: The D stands for daylight time, the S stands for standard time, and there is an hour difference between the two.

MikejcSha is right and got rated down and called a dumbass for understanding daylight savings time.

It's more the mixing it with a region time thing that makes it confusing. I call it PST and EST whether it's Daylight Savings Time or not, I just know that EST is 3 hours later than PST, and GMT is 5 hours later than EST.

PDT is PACFIC DAYLIGHT TIME. EST is EASTERN STANDARD TIME. 7 PDT = 9 EST & 10 EDT (EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME)

It is summertime in the US, so most of us are using DAYLIGHT time with the exception of a few regions.

Heh, yeah I totally ignore the whole S/D part of it...it only matters twice a year to me...glad I didn't rate him down for that at least...

Oh wow ... glad I'm not alone in my confusion.

Ok so let me get this straight...when the time comes you just log into your SE account on the website and then do what to get your "key" or whatever?

It's not certain but I'm pretty sure the keys will be given out through this link when the time comes: http://entry.ffxiv.com/

..thats one of the pages I've been refreshing anyways.
