can anyone decode the following error detail I get when clicking on the icon (or is it just an error message because servers aren't live):

Did you 'Run As Administrator'? Did you update DirectX from the Microsoft website? Is UAC off? Usually the common errors.

If you did all the try running windows update. I hear the the latest .Net framework worked for some people

I got that error with a crash about once an hour in the last round of beta.

I still have no idea what it means [I'm assuming it's DX related, all my other crashes were]

Installing new DirectX right now, used Admin mode, UAC is off, windows is updated (as of a week ago .. no new updates available).

Here's hoping it's the directX download that works.

The error seems like a BSOD error, could be totally wrong but I fear your GFX cannot take it. :(

I'm not sure if you have 32 bit or 64 bit, but you can find your driver there selecting the right OS.
