Applications for the FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test have been temporarily suspended. Please wait until we are ready to accept new applications and then try again.

I got that when I got through.

Good to know I guess. I can stop spamming the Apply button now. May I ask the source of this info and I assume there's no idea on how long they are suspended for?

EDIT: I guess you see it when you get through the application page.

This is the biggest ****ing joke. SE claims that Closed Beta testers will not have to re-apply and that they'll be sent their codes in the mail shortly. THEN THEY CHANGE THEIR CLAIM AN HOUR LATER. WHO DOES THAT?

Really. Who does that?

Well this is what I get for following directions.

Got in to the site but didn't apply for an Open Beta Key after seeing this:

SE wrote:
Users who have already been accepted as beta testers or who have already registered a beta test registration code on the Square Enix Account Management System do not need to apply for the open beta test. Open beta test registration codes and information on how to register them will be sent shortly. If, however, you possess a registration code but have never registered it on the Square Enix Account Management System, please log in below and apply for the open beta test.

This message was then replaced with this:

SE wrote:
We ask that all users who wish to participate in the open beta test log in with their Square Enix account and apply.

But by then it was too late to get a key.

Boo.

All these server problems happened when I got my beta invite for B2 as well. I'm not too surprised, but still pretty disappointed... Come on, SE.

I've been up for the past 2 days, while my roomates were in class I was updating them with any new information on the beta, now that the time comes both of them got in while my page got stuck at the accept page 3 times and now the applications are suspended? i am quite displeased by that.

P.S.: By "quite displeased" I really mean i'm currently occupied with a much more fun game, its called punching my desk til my hand or the wood breaks.

Any ideas if "suspended" means "until we fix our overloaded servers" or "in 1-2 weeks when we're ready to add more beta tester capacity"?

This is what I'm wondering too, if the former I hope SE's tech guys are on the ball. God knows they should be today.

Considering how fast they go from "suspended until further notice" to "We're ready!" I'd say about 5 minutes to a day. Each time I have seen this during beta, this was roughly the timeline.

I'm going to guess it's because the whole account server now resembles something at the end of a "will it blend" episode. 8 browsers across 3 machines, all I get are server errors. Can't login to register the key I have, and launching the beta software introduces me to a blank screen with a crashed explorer windows' guts all over it telilng me my internet maybe down. [given I've successfully typed this, I think they're mistaken].

Yepper. It seems to be an auto redirect. I have the feeling we won't be able to move past that page for a while.

http://entry.ffxiv.com/ is the page to go to for a key, if you have already gone there then when you get far enough it will give you the "resend" button.
