Just wondering if anyone that was in beta got their key from SE yet? Its a little odd that they didn't say that previous tester would get a key E-Mailed to them before the OB started?. But i guess SE loves to confusee their players.

Acquisition of Registration Code for the Open Beta Test

We have an important announcement to the testers who have participated in FINAL FANTASY XIV Closed Beta Test.

Between 19:00 and 19:50 (PDT) on Sep. 1, 2010, an incorrect notice saying "Participants of closed beta test do not need to obtain new registration code for the open beta test." was being made on FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test Application Site.

Participants of closed beta test also need to obtain and register dedicated registration code for the open beta test. Please follow the directions listed in the mail "Guide to the FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test," which was sent to the participants of closed beta test on Aug. 31, 2010, and obtain the registration code from FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test Application Site.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

LOL, Frebaut, turns out you need to register whether you were or weren't part of the closed beta.

TL;DR - You're screwed if you followed the instructions posted by SE.

I'm beginning to this this was a calculated move on SEs part to not allow CB testers back into the game right away so they could get some good press from the newer players.

~edited for spelling~

If that's the case it's a **** poor calculation because if it was recent CB people who spread the most of the nasty rumors on "foreign sites" then this is just gonna add to it...

I got the "Guide to the FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test" email but never got accepted into closed beta or ever received a beta key. It says in the email to use the key they sent me in a different email. Problem is I never got this other email. <.<
