I was playing just fine for hours, then had a sudden crash of the program.. Then i logged back in and ever since then, the game is chopping every 2 seconds, giving the same effect as severe lag spikes, when your character is jolting forward in sudden spurts when moving.

Basically this makes the game feel like it's gonna give me a seizure anytime now..

I tried lowering graphic settings, same thing.
Tried restarting PC, same thing.
Tried disabling firewall, same thing.

So I'm wondering if it might be on their end. Anyone else getting sudden extreme chuggy choppy game?

Have you overclocked your PC? It sounds like it's the memory....not the graphics card....make sure your memory timings are not much overclocked (don't OC your memory at all for greatest stability)

I never messed with my pc in those kind of ways. Is there some way I can check on my memory and see if everything's ok, since you mention it though? It's just strange that everything was running fine until that random crash.

I'm slightly worried the game may be frying my system or something...

Using XP, Quad core system, Geforce 8800GTX, 4 gig ram. I did restart, I tried everything I can think of....

I went to bed because it's just so unplayable that way. Turned off the power supply to make sure everything is a full shutdown. Hopefully that somehow fixes it today.

Im running pretty much the same as you Ratty except 8800 GTs. I have noticed the same thing after a crash. Although i think it may just be the servers taking a dump. Especially since they are now dong All world maintenance.

Thx Taru that makes me feel a little better that it'll be ok after maint. Would really suck if there's no solution, because you'll agree it makes the game unplayable.
