Sifting through 100 threads that say I CANT PLAY BETA makes it hard for me to want to browse the Zam FFXIV forums. There are almost 1000 visitors on this forum trying to find a way to get in to the game. They are testing capacity, that's why you can't get in. It's a weekday, doesn't anyone have school or work?

There just needs to be one sticky that combines the update downloader (port forwarding), error codes, why you can't get in, etc.

I think I just need a break from this forum.

Speaking about gameplay, is it just me or does conjurer kill sewer moles about 10x faster than a pugilist of equal rank, or was i fighting different monsters ._.

I have a question about gameplay then. Where in Gridania would I go to buy a different weapon? ie:mage class weapon

Well this probably isn't helpful at all but i suppose you could travel to Limsa Lomina. I know when I wanted a pickaxe for mining i had to travel from LL to Ul'Dah by 15 minute ferry +15 minute walk. Once you activate the Aelthyrite there though you can just teleport back and forth instantly.

SE has already done significant stress testing for capacity during the closed beta. Even though that will be something they are looking at during open beta, I don't believe it is their intention as of now to focus on it.

All you're going to see for awhile is posts about getting into Beta etc. for awhile. Might be a good idea to take a break if you are interested in reading about gameplay.

Have you tried looking at https://dev-na.ffxiv.com/

If you were not in the closed beta, and have not had a chance to review some of the feedback there, you might want to check.

There's plenty of topics about gameplay. Sorry that my not getting into beta inconveniences you.

Instead of buying one from the local store? there is someone in Limsa that sells pickaxes, why didn't you just run through the vendors - all of them? I've found all the weapons/tools in ul'dah myself.

Heh..That seems a little extreme. I suppose the sightseeing would'nt be too bad along the way.

LOL, it's really difficult to talk about gameplay when nobody can get on to play the game ;)

I went through all the local vendors and couldn't find any, i think they made some things city exclusive as I recall an NPC telling me that if i wanted carpentry stuff i'd have to go to Gardenia or Ul'Dah.

Posts for Sept 2 go almost to the end of Page 4, it probably went into Page 5 by the time I posted this. I can't even contribute to the OMGICANTDOWNLOADIT-ISITUPYET? comments because after Alpha went into Beta my pc couldn't handle it. I think maybe I'll just go back to tracking my pc parts every 5 min, til the uproar ends.

Can't talk about gameplay until people have a game to play.

80% of the people posting have 10 total osts or less, consisting of "I can't get in". This is why Sept 2 goes 5 pages back. We actually talked about the game more when we weren't able to play, lol.

So...back to gameplay. I just finished setting up some questionable drivers to get my ps3 dualshock to work. Anyone have any experience with this? I would asssume it's a bit easier this way considering the "meh" control scheme.
