Registered key from yesterday no longer worksFollow

So I finally got a chance to update all my stuff and I log into FF XIV to find out that apparently my account that I registered my beta key yesterday is no longer working. I get this from logging in:

Please add or reactivate a service account from the Square Enix Account Management System.


I log into my SE account managment system and look to see that I am no longer registered for FF XIV however my history says I was registered for it.

I look at the instructions on the self help center and come to find out that my key wasn't registered all the way so I followed the intructions and re-applied the key. Well it is now telling my key has been used and now I am stuck trying to figure out what to do. Anyone else have this issue? Currently trying to get a hold of a SE person via chat customer service but lets see how that turns out. I pray I dont have to apply for another beta key.

This same exact thing happened to me. I contacted SE customer service via the chat interface and was told they couldn't help with FFXIV.

Where is the self-help center you're talking about?

Yes I read that and if I remember correctly there was a response to that post saying that they suspended the account and to re-register the code or something. Dunno if the suspension is temporary till they fix it or permanent and I am required to fight for another key. It might be old news I'm not sure but I really don't want to have to camp the beta application page again.

With the registration code, you do not need to reobtain so please use the registration code you have already obtained.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.


Anyone care to interpret it or does it mean what I think it means...re-use the beta key given to me. In which case yeah...its telling me the key is registered already /sadface

It does sound like they just want you to recycle the key. What happens when you try to apply for another?

This may end up being something some people will get stuck waiting for SE to fix Smiley: glare

Funny...I just re-applied for the beta and made it through the proper pages but when I log into the page it tells me I have been signed up already and gives me a shiny button that says: "Resend confirmation Email" or something like that.

Clicked it and I receive the same code in the e-mail so I am stuck in a loop lol. Reapplied the code and said code has been registered. My guess is I should patiently wait to see what happens so apparently I can't re-apply for another key...at least not using the account that I had made. This might be a bug or glitch or a whole new problem in their system so I hope that someone is able to report it.

Edit: Going nighty night...woke up early with high hopes and now I am a sad panda. Might as well not lose sleep over it.

I had that error last night while trying to log-on. This morning the service was wiped from my account. Re-entering the beta key doesn't work, and SE Chat support just gives the same boilerplate response that they do not help with 14 beta problems. Seems they are truly no longer giving out beta keys. It's 4:30 am in Japan atm, so maybe when normal business hours roll around, there might be more beta keys released. Having a key, then having it taken away is worse that not getting one at all.

I think all the major problems se is having will be handled overnight. Its 5am there right now. I don't expect to start seeing major progress with this stuff for at least another 6-10hours...

I have the same issue with the valid service account error. I emailed their staff through the FFXIV support site this morning. I am waiting for a response currently.

I have the same problem :( I've tried re-inputting the old registration code with no luck. I hope SE notices that people are having this problem. I expect they've got so many other problems to deal with right now :x

I can only hope so. As stated a few posts ago it is rather disheartening to get into something only to realize you've been kicked out. Sort of like getting a job when you really need it but then the person who hired you realized they made a mistake in hiring the wrong person and say, "Sorry for the inconvenience." T_T

My correspondence with squarenix so far: The problem is that I get a canned response of cannot help you, but I replied anyways. I and some other people are unable to do anything other than try to inform them that we received keys and cannot progress any further. "step 3" Also when I submitted the email it was directed at FFXIV support. It is kind of a bug we found, that you are not seeing and we can't get to step 3 without you passing it on scenario. Re

That is why I contacted support in this way. I received an Open Beta Key for FFXIV. When I go to https://dev-na.ffxiv.com/ it will not let me progress further with my account, even though I received an access code. I followed all of the steps in the email. I successfully registered the Open Beta Key. When I get to the step for https://dev-na.ffxiv.com/ and log in.

This is what is displayed:

"You could not log in because the service account in question is not registered.
If you would like to log in to the service, please log in to the Square Enix Account Management System and register the service account."

For other words, I am trying to inform you of a process error that is occurring. I have seen others on some forums, that got to this step and it failed, even though they were given an Open Beta Key.

That is just pure awesome. Lets see...you can't sign onto the beta forums unless your account is activated via the website...not to mention your not allowed to post if you are got in via open beta only. Seems like we are stuck in an infinite loop of being screwed till we can get a second set of keys. Luckily I used my g-mail account for another SE account that will most likely go to my brother since I will be paying for his account later.

I was wondering if anyone else who is having this problem is also a FFXI player? My roommate is having the exact same problem, and same unhelpful responses from support. It didn't happen to me, and that is the only thing I could think of that may have caused the issue.
