It immediately crashes thats the error report i'm getting. Anyone know a way to fix it?

Anywhere I can obtain that list of compatible graphics cards? I haven't been able to find it.

I've tried a few more things like running as admin I still have the issue. Any other advice?

Yea that graphics card won't work :(

The minimum cards are as follows :
NVIDIA GeForce 9600 series or higher with VRAM 512MB or more, or ATI Radeon 2900 series or higher with VRAM 512MB or more

well according to you're event viewer, the file causeing the fault with the game is the msvcrt.dll that file is associated with the C++ runtime. You might try updating that if upgrading your card doesn't work. I know that the 9.0.3 version of C++ works with the game (that's what I'm running on win 7 64 OS)

I am having a similar problem, my graphics card is the nVidia GeForce GT 325M, VRAM: 1GB and I have an Intel Core i5 520M processor, each with their most recent drivers. Would these be sufficient for running the beta? I get to the point where I have logged in, click play but then the program crashes :(
