Well that'd be why my quest took a dump on me I suppose.

Something I would really like to see is Leves not auto-failing on DC. I wouldn't mind the counter still going (not a big fan of that either), but I'd prefer that to failing because there are twenty other people trying the same leves at the same time.

Let's hope they are integrating some solution to accept more ppl and start giving keys again.

Hey Pikko, you were in Alpha and closed Beta right? Did you have to apply again like everyone or have you had a key sent to you already? Just interested to know as I'm still unable to test and have not received my key and wondering whether to wait or keep trying to get a new key etc.

That DOES say 7AM, right? Is that 7AM Pacific or a different time? Because all world except the test server, lobby, and login are currently down.

Sadly I don't think even the admins got keys this time, SE is making everyone apply for keys this time around.

Ah many thanks for that -- not been on due to work in the last few days (on these forums I mean) so I was a little behind in all that is happening - even though I've read all the recent posts it was still a little confusing...suppose thats SE's way though :)

Getting a key:

One thing I was noticing last night with my friends is that everyone who got a key were getting them on the .5 hour mark. I relayed this to my friend who was having trouble at 1:20, and he got his at 1:30. I got mine at 1:01. I think if they are letting any more in they are doing it very little at a time every .5 hours. Either that or it was just a coincidence :P

Hope it helps.

...And to think that just last week, people were whining up a storm over surplus...At the rate these servers are crashing, I doubt if anyone is even close to reaching the 8-hour threshold. :D

Meh I guess it's bed time for me then. Thanks for the heads-up.

Oh Lordy. I finally finished downloading all the patches and installing them and managed to get it to start up, only to fail in logging in.

All I can say is its Friday and its my typical luck, lol.

I'm just going to sit here and stare at the screen and listen to the music and watch my GMT clock on the sidebar tick down.

I don't think this is worth making a new thread but they pushed through another small update since the servers went down. So those of you waiting for maintenance to end might wanna get patched up now :P

According to the first post, it should be now. I'm not sure if it's been pushed back or anything though as I still can't get in.

Correct. It is now 9:00 GMT so there is 1 more hour left of maintenance left. Remember that the UK which is normally GMT is actually GMT +1 right now as there is daylight savings. You can check out timezones and stuff here -> http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/

If you find it hard to keep track of timezones different to your own, you can look for some desktop gadgets that display the time in multiple zones, So you can see your local time, PDT/PST and GMT all at a glance

It's actually only 9am GMT. I didn't realise until the other guy said it. It may be 10am in England, but because of daylight savings our current time is GMT +1, as stupid as that sounds. So we have another hour.

Haha, good point. I are an stupid.

Which leads me to another point... why do they not have a clock on the main screen to show server time... that way people could keep track. I can't imagine it's hard to implement.

Mine sat at 0 for a really long time, thought it was screwed up, brought firefox back up and started browsing the forum and then suddenly it was done...

If it takes too long I'd consider restarting it or trying somethin' else

Mine stopped a couple of times but it worked eventually. Probably took less than 10 mins. The servers are still down anyway so there's no rush. If it doesn't work at all though, just use the utorrent method.
