Quick question for the more technically minded members of the community.

When building my new PC, I wanted to put the OS on a SSD so I purchased a 60GB SSD and a 1TB drive for storage and everything else.

Problem is this appears to have been a fatal mistake as games can only be installed on the C:/ drive these days. As a result, I barely have room left after installing windows for the FFXIV install.

Is there any way around this issue? I have other internal drives, is there a way that I can install games onto my other internal drives.

I am told most modern games automatically install onto C:/ without giving the choice.

Thanks in advance guys (and gals)

Should not be an issue.

I can't remember exactly but I don't think I have seen a game for the last 6-7 years which force you to install on a specific Drive, they usually you reach to a step with two (at least options) "Standard/Quick Installation" and "Custom Installation" usually the custom option let you choose the drive to install the game.

Every game I've installed in the last 10 years or so has given me the option of installing it on a different drive. The default is your C: drive for most games (including FFXIV), but you can change it before the install. FFXIV also allows you to do this. Although I think the installation files may automatically download to the C: drive they are deleted afterwords.

So you shouldn't have too much to worry about.

Dragonage auto installs to the C;/ drive and their doesnt seem to be anyway to stop it from doing so.

hmmm, maybe I should try with a few others!

I too hate developers that cannot conform to universal standards.

Edit: I was rated down for this? Wonder what I said..

Well I rated you up :-) because it was very helpful.

All I need to do now is work out how to install Dragonage on my other drive and I will be all good!
