Quest markers and tooltipsFollow

Anyone know if there are plans to implement some form of quest markers/indicators for npcs? Talking to npcs and learning the lore of the region is nice and all, but being in a room with 7-12 npcs and having to talk to each and every one to maybe find a quest to do... just isnt time efficient.

Also, any word on some better tooltips? Things such as the effects of stats, defense, evasion, elemental ratings. As well as ability info such as durations, hate, and damage modifications.

I dont know if this is just a "its still technically an unfinished beta" thing, but a 2010/2011 MMO not giving people much, if any, useful information about thier abilities and characters seems... kinda sad.

This isn't meant to be worked out to a science. Reading through the Adventurers Guide through an Aetherite Crystal will tell you what stats do what, but we will never know exactly how much damage we get per point of INT, we can only guess.

No, there won't be quest markers -- this is supposed to be an immersive world, you are meant to explore and talk to people.

They are going for realism here. No you don't have blinky arrows and something on your map that says "GO HERE", but neither does real life. You don't have arrows above your friends heads that say talk to me, you just talk to them.

modern mmos have this feature - and guess what, it's also optional. if you don't like it you can turn it off, but to outright leave it out of the game is just pure fail.

maybe you like spending an hour trying to find a quest update - i don't.

i have to agree that npc`s not been marked up is a bad idea, i don't get much playtime per day so i don't wanna spend what i get clicking npc after npc.
