I'm a marauder, 76% accuracy. I've counted, and done simple math in my head, and my attacks are evaded about 60% of the time, so in actuality my accuracy is like 40%. that's on green and blue mobs, so how exactly does that compute. i'm not a mathematician, and i'm sure there are other things at play here, but that's off by a huge margin. just wondering what thoughts you guys might have.

Have you been increasing your DEX at equal rates to your strength and con?

I'm marauder too and I definitely don't miss 60% of the time - I do however have accuracy boosting earings on, try and gear yourself and see if you can see a difference. Either way, just be glad its not like FFXI was back in the day (maybe still is dunno), if you used a great weapon (i.e., sword, axe, etc.) you would miss so many times, plus add onto that the pace that game was at, it was no fun when you'd constantly miss attacks.

Thats because (or rather, this was true in earlier tests, but I haven't had the chance to get on the Open Beta) Spirit Dart never misses :P

it's actually balanced out a little now that i ranked up, but christ it was ridiculous. i haven't got any accessories or gear upgrades yet, i actually haven't spent a gil yet. sitting on a mountain from levelquests and loot sales, have a crapload of shards and crystals as well. i just thought it was a little extreme the amount of evades enemies were getting. another question, anybody notice the difference in bloodbath recovery rates? seems like i'm getting much less now than i was in beta 3.

You also have to take into account the monster's evasion. A small squirrel-like mob is going to have high evasion and have a harder time being hit.

Also, basic mage attacks will almost always hit. This has been pretty consistent across all games I've played.

I tested out Bloodbath several times, but i'll do it again to make sure: its recovery is exactly 75% of the damage you dealt. I tested it 3 times and got the same exact percentage each time and it was precise, I got something like 74.98564% something like that, each time.

I'm a gladiator and have my vitality and dexterity equal and higher than everything else (about 30 each at lvl 8). I rarely miss.
