So apparently the game dislikes dual monitors, I was having issues getting the game to run full screen, the game would shut down with 'No DirectX device detected. FFXIV has shut down. Please restart the program'. I was able to run windowed just fine, though.

I then unplugged my second monitor and the game now boots in full screen mode. Anyone else have similar issues? We oughtta pool together our specs if so for SE's benefit.

Haven't tried dual monitors with this game as my computer has no business over exerting itself, but in the past full screen games don't seem to like them. Also when you minimize while full screened the game will crash(ffxi anyone?) so if you are still able to drag your cursor to the off screen it will most likely crash.

Best advice is just to run in your screen resolution windowed, its a bit annoying but seems to be the best option so far.

Yea, that's what I'm doing now, haha. Sad thing is now I'm experiencing random crashes and in the event viewer it's not giving me a reason other than ffxivboot.exe accessed a part of memory that it shouldn't have in itself, so it's a program error I guess.
