Hey, so I'm ******** around with a Conjurer, and I'm wondering if there's any other way except Tranquility to regain my MP? I really hope so, cause the game seems really cool and I'd love to play it, I just really want to play a Mage class.

You can also regenerate all of your HP and MP every 10 minutes using an Aetheryte or Aetherial Node.

*most likely* (not confirmed yet i don't think) there may be juices that regen mp, juices would be made by culinarians...so its possible there are means. They want mp management to be part of the Conjurer/Thaumaturge strategy, but i'm sure at higher levels mp regen will be almost necessary to have any flow in battle so i would expect something.

Oh, spiffy. Thanks for the info. Any idea how long the juice might last? I know back in EQ2, they used a food and drink system to keep your MP/HP regenerating and they (the foods) each had X amount of time on them (10, 15, 30 minutes, up to four hours). I'm really hoping it's not just a 30 second potion effect.

I disagree. At rank 1 my Thaumaturge had 348MP and 2 skills that consumed 11MP. If the ratio of spell cost to total MP is set up right constant regeneration may be completely unnecessary.

Honeslty don't know, anything I tell you would be complete speculation on my part, but if FFXI is any indication it wouldn't last too long however this game isn't FFXI and since battles tend to be much faster paced I would assume juices would last longer if they are even existent (again I would assume they are, although I did try a juice at level 1 and its affects were hidden to me, most likely gave me an INT/MND boost or something but no regen so again, all speculation).

I haven't seen a cooldown. I walk up to the crystal that you get your guildleve from and it replenishes my HP and MP.

I actually enjoying the way it's set up now. I have something to think about instead of just making it all reactionary. I was rank 5 Thaumaturge with Cure from conjurer, I got in over my head by mistake against an enemy and I won, only because I cured myself constantly, I was out of MP after I won.

The thing I don't like about not having MP regen is that I would like to throw a heal or a buff on random people as I run by. I did this a few times but then realized I had cut down on my grind time since I would need to run back to the crystal sooner. I hope it gets better later.

In beta 3 at level 10 you get a weaponskill (TP based, no mp based) that deals damage and converts to mp. When it hit, it would return about 5-10 mp, depending on the mob. Also, i didn't notice it not working on certain mobs, so i'm guessing you can absorb mp from all mobs, unlike the aspir spell in ffxi.

good news... the level 1 con/thm MP refresh abilities have had their timers cut from 30 minutes to 10 minutes

When it comes to sitting around not doing anything for long periods of time, only being active for short windows, and marginal changes and sidegrades I'd say FFXI players were the perfect choice for politicians.
