OK, what was SE thinking with Ul'DahFollow

Seriously, why would you make a town lock the gates at night, leaving no way to get out for players. I didn't realize it did this when I started playing in the town, and started getting frustrated because I could not find the way out. Hopefully this is something that SE changes, or at least has a notice about.

Wow really? That's not cool...

You sure there is not just some alternate way to get out of the town. Like maybe an underground passage you have to use at night, or a smaller door or something?

I haven't heard/seen anything like this. Are you sure you are exiting from the right area? Perhaps you are going to a restricted area, or an area that requires a menu teleport.

Yes I am sure, because I used the same door to exit when it turned to morning in the game.

That's pretty funny actually. I take it you hadn't gotten to a camp yet so you couldn't teleport out?

You'll need to use the side passages at night. If you look closely at the map, you'll see an "outer ring" area that goes around the main gate. Had me baffled for the first few minutes of play time in that town, but I figured it out eventually :)

You probably unknowingly went a slightly different way. The HUGE gates are always closed from what I've seen but you have to go to the outer most semi-circle to get outside. Where it shows an exit on the map you can't get to from the inner circle you have to go around. I've been in and out at night and in the day.

I've always gone out those side passages. I didn't even know there were gates that open during the day.

Someone's never played Ocarina of Time...

Heh. As annoying as that could potentially be, it is kind of cool that they've added that level of immersion into the city.

To me it's like a bit of Sandy mixed with Whitegate...that front part has the 2 side halls to exit from with a chocobo stable right in the middle, but with a Whitegate kind of design...yeah they don't lock you in at certain times though...
